MLB Wednesday, May 31 Parlay Picks

Wednesday, May 31 is getaway day for a number of teams in Major League Baseball with seven matinees on the schedule. It is also a day where MLB Network has games throughout the day. The action starts with the Rangers at the Tigers in matinee and continues with the Phillies at the Mets at night. The West Coast game on MLB Network will be the Yankees at the Mariners. ESPN+ has the game between the Reds and Red Sox. We have had good success so far this season with the MLB parlay picks and we’ll look to continue the winning on Wednesday with two sides and one total for our three-game MLB parlay. Let’s look at Wednesday, May 31 MLB parlay picks.

Nationals-Dodgers Over

The Washington Nationals visit the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday afternoon and the probable pitching matchup has Patrick Corbin going against Noah Syndergaard. Early in the season I was going against Corbin quite a bit, but I have avoided his games of late. He is 4-5 with a 4.88 ERA. He has pitched better lately, but this is a tough spot against a very good Los Angeles team. On the other side, Syndergaard has been terrible for the Dodgers. He is 1-4 with a 6.27 ERA. I don’t know what the Dodgers see in him, because he has been a dumpster fire. I don’t think either Corbin or Syndergaard will have much success in this one, so I will go over the total for the first game in the parlay.

Boston Red Sox

The Boston Red Sox host the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday night and it should be Luke Weaver going for the Reds, while the Red Sox send James Paxton. Weaver has struggled for Cincinnati with a 1-2 record and a 5.45 ERA. He has alternated good starts and bad starts lately and he is coming off a good start so if he stays in current form this should be rough one on Wednesday against a very good hitting Boston club. Paxton is 1-1 with a 5.14 ERA. He is coming off a poor outing against the Angels, but his previous start against the Padres was a good one. I expect him to bounce back with a good effort in this one against a weak Cincinnati lineup. I’ll take the Red Sox as the second team in the parlay.

Arizona Diamondbacks

The Colorado Rockies visit the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday night. The Rockies are expected to throw Connor Seabold, while the Diamondbacks are unsure of their starter for Wednesday. I don’t know what the Rockies see in Seabold, as he is 1-2 with an ERA of nearly six. His last three starts have not been good and I see no reason why he is going to suddenly turn things around and pitch well in Arizona. It doesn’t matter to me who the Diamondbacks throw as this is simply a play against Seabold and against a weak Colorado team that has been poor on the road this season. I’ll take Arizona as the last team in the parlay.
