MLB Wednesday, June 21 Parlay Picks

It is getaway day in Major League Baseball on Wednesday, June 21st and that means a lot of daytime action. There are eight matinees on Wednesday, including the Baltimore Orioles at the Tampa Bay Rays on MLB Network. Also on MLB Network is the game between the Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies and the game in Anaheim between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Angels. ESPN+ has a pair of games, as they will be showing the Colorado Rockies at the Cincinnati Reds and the Boston Red Sox at the Minnesota Twins. We’ll look at three sides for the three-team parlay on Wednesday night. Let’s look at Wednesday, June 21 MLB parlay picks.

Cincinnati Reds

The Colorado Rockies visit the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday afternoon and it should be Andrew Abbott on the mound for the Reds. He has simply been brilliant for the Reds, as he has made three starts and has yet to allow a run. He has pitched 17.2 innings and given up just 10 hits. His walks are a little high at 9 and he has struck out just 12, but you can’t argue with his success. The Rockies were unsure of their starting pitcher as of this writing, but it doesn’t matter to me, as Colorado is a dumpster fire right now. I’ll take the Reds as the first team in the parlay.

Houston Astros

The New York Mets visit the Houston Astros on Wednesday and it should be Tyler Megill going for New York, while Houston sends Cristian Javier. Megill is 6-4 but his ERA is 4.83 and on the road he is 2-3 with an ERA of more than seven. Javier is one of the most underrated starting pitchers in the league. He is 7-1 with a 2.90 ERA and at home he is 4-1 with a 2.27 ERA. This looks like a good matchup for the Astros to get the win, so I will take Houston as the second team in the parlay.

Los Angeles Angels

The Los Angeles Dodgers visit the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday night and it should be Shoehi Ohtani on the mound for the Angels. He is 6-2 with a 3.29 ERA overall and at home he is 3-1 with a 2.66 ERA. There is no question that Ohtani is the greatest player of our generation and perhaps the greatest player of all-time, as no one has ever been as good at two different positions at the same time as he is. Not only is Ohtani one of the best pitchers in the league, right now he is also the best hitter, as he leads the league in home runs and RBI’s. The Dodgers were uncertain of their starter as of this writing, but the Dodgers are not playing well right now and it doesn’t matter to me who they throw. The Angels are simply the better team right now and there is no question they will have the edge on the mound with Ohtani. I’ll take the Angels as the last team in the parlay.
