At the onset of the TGL season, there would normally be excitement about a TGL Golf Match involving the Jupiter Links Golf Club. That is because Tiger Woods is on the Jupiter Links roster. Despite being past his prime, Woods still has the biggest name in golf and the most powerful brand in the game.
Unfortunately, Tiger Woods is recovering from a lumbar disc replacement surgery that he underwent in October 2025. It was the seventh back surgery of Woods' career, and he is also coming off an Achilles tendon injury in March 2025 that cost him the season. Woods has been cleared to chip and putt but not to play, at least in the early part of the TGL season.
On Tuesday, Jupiter Links GC will open its TGL season without Woods against the New York Golf Club.

Tom Kim has three PGA Tour wins and seven international wins. He was the 2021 Korean Tour Player of the Year.
Kevin Kisner has four PGA Tour wins and two Presidents Cup appearances for Team USA.
Homa, Kim, and Kisner are returnees from last year’s Jupiter Links Golf Club roster. In 2025, Jupiter Links finished with one win, four losses, two points, and ten holes won.
New York Golf Club
The New York Golf Club lost its season opener 6-4 to the Atlanta Drive GC in a rematch of the 2025 TGL Championship, which Atlanta also won. Billy Horschel drained a 37-foot eagle putt to give Atlanta the victory in the TGL season-opener. That capped a Finals Series rematch that ended similarly, with Atlanta stepping up down the stretch to win a back-and-forth battle.
Horschel did it alongside two new faces in the lineup, as alternates Chris Gotterup and Corey Conners stepped in for Patrick Cantlay and Lucas Glover. Matt Fitzpatrick had just missed long of the green on the third shot for New York when Atlanta threw the Hammer, with Conners preparing to hit the team’s third shot from 89 yards out. New York took the bait and accepted – Conners stuck the ball to inside six feet, and Horschel made the birdie putt to give Atlanta a 3-1 lead entering Singles.
