Mexico City and Paris are the two new stops added on the 2015-16 tour, replacing Monaco and Miami on last year’s tour. The Mexico ePrix is the fifth stop on the 2015-16 FIA Formula E Championship schedule. Sébastien Buemi has two wins through three events this season, winning both the Beijing ePrix on October 24th and also earning a victory at the Punta del Este ePrix on December 19th. Buemi finished second overall in the 2014-15 FIA Formula E standing, losing the championship by one point to Nelson Piquet, Jr. He captured three wins last season — at the Punta del Este ePrix, the Monaco ePrix and the London ePrix. After coming so close to victory last season, there is little doubt that Buemi will be eager for a crown this season and he is off to a fast start this season.

Lucas di Grassi has one win so far in the 2015-16, taking home the crown at the Putrajaya on November 7th and finishing in second place in Beijing and Punta del Este. Other drivers to watch for at the Mexico ePrix include Jérôme d'Ambrosio and Sam Bird. Both drivers are still searching for their first win of their season, but both have been competitive early on. D’Ambrosio has two Top 5 finishes so far this year with his best finish coming at the Punta del Este ePrix where he was third. He was fourth overall last year and finished with one victory. His lone win came at the Berlin ePrix. Bird was second at the Putrajaya ePrix and placed seventh in Beijing. He finished last season with two victories and in fifth place overall.

Reigning Formula E drivers champion Nelson Piquet Jr. is also still looking for his first win of the season. He his currently in 16th place through three events. His best finish of the year so far was at the Putrajaya ePrix where he placed ninth. He had two victories in the 2014-15 season, winning the Long Beach ePrix and the Moscow ePrix. In addition to his pair of wins, Piquet also snagged five additional Top 5 finishes last year. He’s off to a slower start this season but still has time to make up ground.

The 2015-16 season began in Beijing, China back in October and will wrap up with a double-header event in London, England in July. The sport made its debut last year and is now in its second season in Formula E wagering.
