After a great start to the season, Watford finally stumbled. The Hornets were one of three teams that had won each of their first four Premier League matches to start the year, but they couldn’t keep it going against Manchester United last week. Although Watford fought valiantly, two Manchester United goals in the first half proved to be too much to overcome in a 2-1 loss. This week, they will look to get back on track when they face Fulham.

Odds Analysis
Fulham have not looked bad in their return to the Premier League. The Cottagers are 1-1-3 through five games, but two of those losses were on the road against Tottenham and Manchester City. Fulham was a heavy underdog in both of those matches, just like most Premier League clubs would be, but they have looked sharp against other opponents.
It was a great start to the season for Watford, but they are going to need to start winning road games if they want to keep pace with the top teams in the Premier League. Four of the Hornets first five games were at home, and three of their next four will be on the road. In their one previous road test, they picked up a 3-1 win against Burnley.
Key Injuries
At least two players will miss this match on the side of Fulham. Neeskens Kebano and Tim Ream have both been ruled out. Kebano is not expected to come back until next week at the earliest due to an ankle problem, while Ream was sidelined last week by a thigh injury. Tom Cairney is listed as questionable to play because of a foot injury.
Watford have been without Gerard Deulofeu and Tom Cleverley since the start of the season, but it looks like Deulofeu will return soon. He has an outside chance to be available in this game as he is mostly recovered from a groin issue. It will take a bit longer for Cleverley to return, and he is going to miss the next few weeks.
Player to Watch
Troy Deeney is having a great start to the year. In the past, Deeney hasn’t always looked in shape at the beginning of the season, playing his way into form over the course of the year. He seems to have picked up a chip on his shoulder, and that’s great news for Watford.
Through five games, Deeney has scored twice. He has consistently been a threat though, and that has opened things up for his teammates. Deeney is a very physical forward that can outmuscle opposing defenders, and that’s something to watch here.
Prop Bet of the Game
There are a number of prop betting options for Watford and Fulham, but the best bet on the board is that both teams will score in this match. These teams both have great options on offense and somewhat squishy back lines. Deeney and Roberto Pereyra have been a devastating duo for defenses at Watford, and both teams have scored in each of the Hornets’ last four games.
Meanwhile, Aleksandar Mitrovic has been one of the Premier League’s leading scorers so far, with four goals in five games. Three of Fulham’s last four games saw both teams find the back of the net with the lone exception being last week when Manchester City shut out the Cottagers at home.
You can bet on both teams to score at -163.
Free Soccer Betting Pick
The over is a great bet here. Both these teams have seen at least three total goals in each of their last four Premier League games, and there’s no reason to expect anything different.
