Odds Analysis

It's really hard to separate these two teams at the moment, particularly for a match being played in Manchester.

The Red Devils are 4-0-0 at home this year and have outscored teams 14-0. Tottenham is 4-0-0 on the road and has a 12-2 goal differential in those matches.

Of course, Man U has to be the betting favorite here at +120, but the fact that it isn't odds-on is telling. The Spurs are definitely set to be live in this duel and could certainly beat this price of +235.

Key Injuries

The biggest name to watch in this match is that of Harry Kane. Kane is in serious doubt for this fixture thanks to a hamstring injury. Kane sat out of Tottenham's loss in the Carabao Cup to West Ham on Wednesday, and the likelihood that he plays on Saturday morning is starting to seem more and more grim as time goes on.

With Marouane Fellaini already sidelined from his injury while serving for Belgium during the last international break, the last thing United could have afford was another crucial injury. Ander Herrera was taken off the pitch after 67 minutes against Swansea City in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, and that leaves him as a question mark for this match. Marcus Rashford also came off the field against the Swans, though he seems to be in good enough shape to be on the pitch on Saturday.

Recent Form

Jose Mourinho has taken some heat from the fact that his team hasn't necessarily been the most forward-thinking over the course of the last several weeks. The club was beaten by Huddersfield Town for the first time in 65 years last weekend, and that came on the heels of a drab 1-0 win in the UCL over Benfica and a scoreless draw against Liverpool. The Red Devils did advance in the Carabao Cup this week over Swansea City 2-0 and looked much better, though it should be noted that that match has far less meaning than any of these EPL fixtures.

Tottenham was bounced out of the Carabao Cup by West Ham, but that really shouldn't be Maurcio Pochettino's concern. The Spurs blasted Liverpool 4-1 in their last match and picked up a draw at Real Madrid in the UCL a week and a half ago. That's as good as anyone in London could expect out of Tottenham at this point for sure.

The under seems to be the better play in this match. The Spurs have struggled mightily at the back in recent weeks, but Manchester United hasn't really shown any care or desire to come up and advance at any point during neutral times in matches.

A goal could change the whole course of this game, but we're not sure that the wonderous strike is going to come from either team. The big winner in this match will be City, as the door will be open to take a seven-point cushion on both teams after a draw at Old Trafford.

Barclays Premier League Odds: Manchester United 0, Tottenham 0
