Manchester United need a lot of help if they are going to get back to the Champions League. The Red Devils are in sixth place in the table, and they need to pass two teams if they are going to get back to the most prestigious tournament in club competition. It’s unrealistic that they can catch Tottenham Hotspur as they are five points back with two games to play, but they are just three points shy of Chelsea and a point back of Arsenal. To have any shot, they need to ensure they win their last two games, and that means beating last place Huddersfield Town this Sunday.

Odds Analysis
Huddersfield Town will end the year as the second worst team in Premier League history if they don’t get a point from either of their last two matches. The Terriers have been dreadful this year, and the only team they have looked good against was Wolves, who they beat in both of their meetings. They have just one win otherwise, and the Terriers have lost eight straight matches. Huddersfield have failed to score in five of those eight games. They have just 20 goals on the season.
The Red Devils have won just two of their last six games, and they have blown a golden opportunity to make up ground as the other three teams have struggled. The loss that really stings is the one they suffered two weeks ago at the hands of Everton. The Toffees crushed Manchester United 4-0 in that one, with the Red Devils’ attack having no answers and putting just one shot on net.
Paul Pogba netted a brace in the first match between these teams this year, and United were able to cruise to a 3-1 win. Nemanja Matic opened the scoring for Manchester United, while Mathias Jorgensen scored Huddersfield’s lone goal.
Key Injuries
Abdelhamid Sabiri and Aaron Mooy are both going to miss this game for the Terriers, while Laurent Depoitre and Ben Hamer are questionable to play.
Eric Bertrand Bailly will be out for the final two games of Manchester United’s season. Antonio Valencia is doubtful to play in this match, while five others are questionable to play. Jesse Lingard, Romelu Lukaku, Chris Smalling, Marcus Rashford, and Phil Jones will see their status determined closer to kickoff.
Player to Watch
David De Gea has had a rough last couple weeks. Last year’s Golden Glove winner will not even finish in the top five of English goalkeepers this season, and he has made some uncharacteristic errors these last few weeks. He wasn’t good in Barcelona in mid-April, and De Gea looked shaky against both Everton and Manchester City. To be fair, the goalkeeper doesn’t have much help. This back line has been bad, and United’s 51 goals surrendered in league play are a club high.
Prop Bet – Manchester United -1.5 and -2 +115
United have not looked sharp in recent weeks, but playing Huddersfield is a panacea. The Terriers have been awful all year long, and I don’t see them putting up much of a fight. Manchester United could win this one by three or four goals.
Free Soccer Betting Pick
The Terriers are only playing for pride at this point, but that’s not a quality in abundance after a dismal season. Look for Manchester United to rout Huddersfield in their final home game.
English Premier League Odds: Manchester United 3, Huddersfield Town 0
