Crystal Palace are off to a fantastic start this campaign. Roy Hodgson’s club is currently in sixth place in the standings with a 4-2-2 record, and the Glaziers already have a victory over Manchester United to their credit. They would love to knock off the other Manchester club at home this Saturday, but Palace know they would be fortunate to pick up a result at Selhurst Park against league champions Manchester City.

Odds Analysis
This has not been a great start to the season for Manchester City. The Citizens have won 32 matches in consecutive campaigns to win the league both times, but they have already dropped points in three matches this year. Manchester City are 5-1-2 with losses to Norwich City and Wolverhampton Wanderers, and they are fully aware that Palace are dangerous.
Crystal Palace stunned Manchester City 3-2 in the Etihad last year. Jeffrey Schlupp, Andros Townsend, and Luka Milivojevic scored in the span of 18 minutes to put Palace up 3-1, and they held on from there to pull off one of the biggest upsets of the season. All three players are still on the roster, and they would love a repeat performance.
Palace have yet to drop points at home this season. They are 2-2-0 with draws against Everton and Wolves and victories over newly promoted Aston Villa and Norwich City. The Glaziers have conceded just one goal in four matches at Selhurst Park, but if they allow just one goal to Manchester City on Saturday, that will be reason for celebration.
Key Injuries
Manchester City are still without Aymeric Laporte and Leroy Sane for a couple more months, but every other player is likely to be available for selection by Pep Guardiola. Defender Benjamin Mendy is the only concern, and he is listed as questionable. Kyle Walker, John Stones, and Kevin De Bruyne are all probable to see the field.
Mamadou Sakho has had an injury plagued campaign. He returned from knee surgery this offseason and only played two matches before picking up a knock and returning to the sidelines. He is considered doubtful to play, but Palace’s back line has been solid without his services.
Player to Watch
Kevin De Bruyne could make history this season. The Belgian midfielder’s eight assists are double that of any other player in the league this year, and he is well on his way to smashing the all-time record. Arsenal forward Thierry Henry set the current record of 20 assists during the Gunners’ 2002-03 campaign, and De Bruyne is averaging more than an assist per game. He has talented finishers like Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling, and David Silva at his disposal, so he is certainly odds-on to reach that mark.
Prop Bet – Manchester City Over 2.5 Goals
Manchester City have scored three or more goals in five of their eight Premier League matches, and they are probably going to go over that total again. This team is out to make a statement after losing to Wolves before the international break, and they won’t overlook a team that beat them at home last season.

I believe Manchester City will smash Palace here. The Citizens have an abundance of firepower and a Big Six club proved it can break this back line earlier in the season when Tottenham Hotspur crushed Palace 4-0.
English Premier League Odds: Manchester City 3, Crystal Palace 0
