It’s been a banner year for Liverpool. The Reds are back in the Champions League Semifinals for the second straight year, and if they can find a way to get past Barcelona, they are likely to be favored against either Tottenham Hotspur or Ajax in the final. Liverpool are in real contention to win a double with a Premier League title too, but they need to win out and hope that Manchester City drop points. There are just three matches left in Liverpool’s season, and they are massive favorites against relegated Huddersfield Town on Friday.

Odds Analysis
Huddersfield Town aren’t the worst team in Premier League history, but they are set to be one of the worst. If the Terriers don’t pick up a result in their final three matches, they will finish with the second fewest points in EPL history. Their 14 points would put them just behind 2005-06 Sunderland’s 15 points, but they are ahead of 2007-08 Derby County’s 11 points. The Terriers haven’t earned a result in two months, yet they have beat Wolverhampton in both their meetings this season.
The last few weeks have gone perfectly for Liverpool. The Reds passed their last tough Premier League test two weeks ago when they beat Chelsea 2-0, and they secured a 2-0 win at Cardiff City last weekend to keep pace with Manchester City. Liverpool are on a nine-match winning streak in all competitions and the last time they dropped points was in a 0-0 draw with Everton in the Merseyside Derby.
We didn’t see much offense the first time these teams squared off this season. There were a grand total of three shots on net, and Liverpool scored the lone goal when Mo Salah netted in the 24th minute for the visitors in the victory.
Key Injuries
With relegation assured, Huddersfield Town might decide to play some of their younger players and anyone that is dinged up could sit. Abdelhamid Sabiri will miss the match, and Jonathan Hogg and Adama Diakhaby are both listed as doubtful. Laurent Depoitre is listed as questionable with an ankle issue.
Liverpool have been hoping that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could return to the lineup by the end of the year, but he is not fully healthy yet and will likely sit once more. Fabinho is questionable with a head injury, while Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren are both listed as probable.
Player to Watch
Sadio Mane has an outside chance at winning the Premier League Golden Boot this year. His 18 goals are one behind a trio of others, including teammate Mo Salah, and he has shown himself to be capable of scoring in bunches. This is the best season of his career, and his goals have come at just the right time throughout the last half of the year.
Prop Bet – Liverpool by 2 +329
You have to have guts to call for anything other than a Liverpool win, and most people think they are going to win big. They are favored by 3 and 3.5 on the goal line, but I believe they will take their foot off the gas pedal once they go up two with the Champions League on deck next week.

Liverpool aren’t going to be tested here. They could name the score if they wanted to, but they will be content with a win.
English Premier League Odds: Liverpool 3, Huddersfield Town 1
