Odds Analysis

The Americans are basically always going to be favored when they're on the pitch, especially for these home matches. That said, they know they have their work cut out for them in a tournament where every match is against one of the best teams in the world.

That said, the Stars and Stripes are a perfect 4-for-4 in the SheBelieves Cup all-time, including posting a 1-0 victory over England last year down in Tampa. It shouldn't be a surprise if they're favored by around a full goal, even against the No. 5 ranked team in the world.

Roster Analysis

Is this the same American team that we're used to seeing? Maybe not so much. But this is still a really, really deep team with perhaps the only real question mark coming in net with Hope Solo effectively no longer with the club. Alyssa Naeher got the nod against Germany and figures to do the same here against England.

The real question is how Jill Ellis deploys her lineup. She went with a 3-5-2 formation against Germany, a rare change to a three-man back line, but that seems to be the direction she's ready to take this team in after the failure at the Olympics last year when Alex Morgan felt like she was all alone trying to find the back of the net.

Brianna Pinto is just 16 years old, and she very well could be making her debut in this match for the USWNT alongside 21-year old Rose Lavelle, who could be ready for her debut as well. This midfield could be very, very young when push comes to shove, save for Carli Lloyd, who will inevitably captain the team and pick up her 234th career appearance for her nation.

England's team remains awfully strong as well. The Three Lionesses have a great captain in Steph Houghton, while Jordan Nobbs will be looking to continue her nice run of form of late after bagging the opening goal of the tourney against France a few nights ago. Karen Carney is the most dangerous striker on the team with 25 goals in 110 career appearances.

The United States wasn't great in that opening match against Germany, and the 3-5-2 formation wasn't really as crisp as it could have been. There's a distinct possibility that this is a much younger side than we're used to seeing, and that could end up leaving some holes against a British team that is going to want to show itself a lot better with its defending than it did in the last 10 minutes against France when it conceded twice to take a match that looked won and turn it into a defeat.

We suspect this will be the first night the Americans ever don't win in this tournament's history, though to think that England could take all three points might be a bit of a stretch as well.

SheBelieves Cup Odds: United States 1, England 1
