After a full round of eight Champions League matches on Tuesday, there will be eight more to be played on Wednesday night all across Europe. It's going to be a great night across the continent with a slew of little guys having their shots against the big boys on the biggest stage in club soccer.

These Champions League duels will go down Wednesday, September 13, with all of the kickoffs taking place at 2:45 p.m. ET. The Tottenham/Borussia Dortmund match will be televised live on FOX Sports 1, while the Real Madrid/APOEL affair can be seen on FOX Sports 2.

Champions League Opening Odds at BookMaker.eu

FC Porto ( -180 ) vs. Besiktas

Feyenoord ( +700) vs. Manchester City

Liverpool ( -140 ) vs. Sevilla

Maribor ( +350 ) vs. Spartak Moscow

RB Leipzig ( +110 ) vs. AS Monaco

Real Madrid ( -2500 ) vs. APOEL

Shakhtar Donetsk ( +230 ) vs. Napoli

Tottenham ( +130 ) vs. Borussia Dortmund

Of the eight matches played in the second day of competition in the Champions League, it's clear that the one that makes for the easiest handicapping is the Real Madrid/APOEL fixture. The men from Cyprus are just thrilled to be here after having fought through a number of knockout rounds to get to this point. Playing on the road against Real Madrid is going to be a thrill, even if Los Blancos end up dumping five goals on the board by halftime.

The biggest problem with betting on Real Madrid is the fact that it's going to be favored by at least three goals, one of the biggest spreads in Champions League history. A price of -2500 hardly feels worth it. We've seen some awfully strange things happen over the course of 90 minutes in this competition.

On the other end of the spectrum of competitiveness, we have the Tottenham/Borussia Dortmund fixture. Group H is going to be a nightmare to try to get through for both of these teams with Real Madrid also floating around in this group, and these matches against each other in England and Germany respectively are going to be the ones to really watch. For Spurs, a point won't truly be good enough, though it's hard to forecast the team picking up all three points even though it's favored by a +130 margin. BVB isn't going to go down without a fight for sure, and it's used to play in these huge venues.

The Liverpool/Sevilla match is one to watch as well. These two teams played against each other in the Europa League Final two years ago, a match that the Spanish side went on to win. Now, they get to face off on the grandest stage in the first fixture in a really tough Group E. Both teams will figure to advance when push comes to shove, but three points, particularly if they go to Sevilla, would go a long way to assuring that.

Aside from that, there are a bunch of matches where teams are just flat out going to hope to hold serve at home. FC Porto is a big -180 favorite against Besiktas in what probably amounts to be a must-win match if it hopes to stay in the Champions League into the new year. The same could be said for RB Leipzig, a team playing in the UCL for the first time. The Germans are +110 favorites against AS Monaco, and things could go downhill for them in a hurry if they don't take all three points from that one. Shakhtar Donetsk has a great home pitch advantage, and it's going to have to use that to its fullest against Napoli as +230 underdogs if it wants to get off on the right foot and have a realistic chance to get into the last 16 in the UCL.
