Horse Racing Odds - Preakness Stakes Matchup Props

Preakness-Stakes-Props-bm

The big question on Saturday is whether Always Dreaming can win the Preakness Stakes and bring his Triple Crown bid all the way to Belmont Park in a few weeks. However, if you're not sold on just wagering on or against the Kentucky Derby champ, there are plenty of matchup props available at BookMaker.eu that could whet your betting appetite.

The Preakness Stakes is one of the premier events of the year on the horse racing calendar and shouldn't be missed by bettors on Saturday, May 20, 2017. Post-time from Pimlico Race Course is scheduled for 6:45 p.m. ET, and all of the action can be seen live on NBC.

Preakness Stakes Morning Line Odds and Preakness Stakes Post Positions

1: Multiplier 30/1 2: Cloud Computing 12/1

3: Hence 20/1

4: Always Dreaming 4/5

5: Classic Empire 3/1

6: Gunnevera 15/1

7: Term of Art 30/1

8: Senior Investment 30/1

9: Lookin At Lee 10/1

10: Conquest Mo Money 15/1

Cloud Computing ( -173 ) vs. Hence

It's a bit of a chalky price, but we like the idea of Cloud Computing finishing in the top half of the field. His post is great at #2, and he's got enough speed to get a good start in a race that is notorious for fast starters having success, particularly if they can find the rail. There's nothing here that suggests the Wood Memorial third place finisher can ultimately win the Preakness, but we think he's a much better horse than Hence is. Hence won the Sunland Derby and was great in doing so, but the more we see of him, the more we think he was a one-race wonder. Aside from that run at the Sunland Derby, Hence has never even come close to a 90 Beyer Speed Rating, and if he isn't cracking 90 on Saturday, Cloud Computing is going to be the horse to win this matchup, likely by at least a few places.

Gunnevera ( -110 ) vs. Hence

We're going to pick on poor Hence once again in this second Preakness Stakes matchup. This though, is really more about Gunnevera and less about Hence. The price on Gunnevera to win the Preakness Stakes is really good as it is at 15 to 1, but his racing style is going to leave him in a bit of a lurch at the back of the field. Gunnevera's best hope for winning the Preakness is Classic Empire and Always Dreaming tiring themselves out at the start of this race, but it's a good thing for us that we're not all that worried about what those other two are doing. The bottom line is that we have the much better pony here on our side at a pick 'em price, and that's definitely good enough.

Conquest Mo Money ( +105 ) vs. Lookin At Lee

We're actually more inclined to bet on the favorites in most of these head-to-head matchups, but Conquest Mo Money provides a bit of an exception to the rule for us. He's a slight dog at +105. We know he'll be in a better position than Lookin At Lee at the outset of this race. The Lookin At Lucky foal will do his best running at the end of the race for sure. It's a little bothersome that Conquest Mo Money and his early speed is going to end up on the outside in this race. Had he been closer to the rail, we'd be asking if he could go wire-to-wire to spoil the Triple Crown bid. We've seen colts come from the far outside at Pimlico to have success as well, and we just think the ceiling is much higher for Conquest Mo Money than it is for Lookin At Lee.
