Beckham is in his physical prime and should be as good as ever, although some additions to the Giants’ team on offense may factor into his final numbers. While there is no denying the supreme talent Beckham possesses, it remains to be seen if he can reach the prop bet totals set for his 2017 regular season performance.
The 2017 NFL regular season kicks off on Thursday, September 7 with the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots taking on the Kansas City Chiefs. Super Bowl LII will be played on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

Odds Analysis
There has been some movement on both bets since the totals came out. The oddsmakers believe 12 touchdowns this season is being too ambitious, as the “under” has been getting the majority of the action. The line has shifted to -125 to choose it, while the “over” is now getting wagered on at -105.
There has been less movement on the number of receiving yards, although there is a clear direction. The “over” has been the more common wager as it makes sense that Beckham improves in his fourth pro season and surpasses the 1,350 yard mark.
Why Beckham Will Total More Than 12 Receiving Touchdowns and 1,350 Receiving Yards In The 2017-18 Regular Season
While he has been controversial during his early years in the NFL, there’s no doubt Beckham has always been a big-time producer. Despite missing the first four games as a rookie, he finished with 1,305 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns, averaging 108.8 yards per game.
Beckham has followed that up with two more great seasons, finishing with 1,450 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns in 2015 before putting up 1,367 yards and 10 scores a season ago. Beckham is going into his age-25 season, which is old enough to gain some experience but still young enough to be on top of his game physically.
The only time Beckham didn’t surpass 1,350 yards in a season was as a rookie when he sat for a quarter of the regular season. That is the easy call for this wager, as he should continue to dominate.
The scoring total is harder, but Beckham is always a threat to break loose and find the end zone. He could very well put up the best numbers of his already-impressive career, which would allow him to hit the “over” on both of these wagers.
Why Beckham Will Total Less Than 12 Receiving Touchdowns and 1,350 Receiving Yards In The 2017-18 Regular Season
There are a couple of reasons why Beckham may fall short of the receiving yardage and touchdown totals. One is the addition of Brandon Marshall. He should make the Giants better but may also funnel away some of Beckham’s production, especially in the red zone.
The other is the decline of quarterback Eli Manning, who isn’t the same caliber quarterback as he used to be in his younger days. If Manning isn’t as prolific, the Giants could decide to run the ball more and rely on their defense.
Beckham is going to make his plays, and the “over” on the yardage total seems like the better choice, but the touchdowns may not hit a dozen, as that is a lot to ask for any player.
