Sawyer Fredericks, the 16-year-old folk singer from upstate New York, reached Number Two on the download chart with his cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd's Southern rock classic "Simple Man." Instant Save recipient Joshua Davis followed at Number Seven with a Sting cover. It's not mega-tours like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and even Daughtry see, but it's something.

Davis is a long-shot at BookMaker, with odds of +1500, but Fredericks is looking good at +160. In fact, he's the favorite.

Monday's Top Eight live show proved entertaining, especially with past judges CeeLo Green, Usher and Gwen Stefani showing up (Shakira sent in a video message from Spain).

Green took his guest mentorship seriously, adding a children's chorus to "We Don't Need Another Hero" for contestant Hannah Kirby. With odds at +1500, she could use the help. Sadly, it wouldn't be coming.

Meghan Linsey — who performed George Harrison's "Something" — admitted Green had won her over years ago. With Shelton looking on, she confessed she often dreamed of working with Green. At +1000, she needed the extra set of eyes and ears.

Corey Kent White put a country spin (again) on an epic '80's ballad, "When I See You Smile" by Bad English. His +1300 odds might just be reflective of his penchant to countrify everything. It would also prove his undoing.

White's version of "When I See You Smile" pushed the Oklahoma native to display a grittier side of his vocal chops, but nowhere near enough.

A few days before the taping, Shelton raved about White to Rolling Stone Country. By Tuesday night, the Top Eight were whittled down to the Top Six.

America Saved:

TEAM ADAM: Joshua Davis

TEAM PHARRELL: Sawyer Fredericks

TEAM BLAKE: Meghan Linsey

TEAM CHRISTINA: Kimberly Nichole

TEAM PHARRELL: Koryn Hawthorne

Three had to compete for one spot.

TEAM BLAKE: Hannah Kirby sang “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons.

TEAM BLAKE: Corey Kent White, “Somebody Like You” by Keith Urban

CKW just lost his way at some point in these live rounds. It was just a little too late for the only country artist left to win back over the audience.

TEAM CHRISTINA: India Carney, “Human” by Christina Perri

This vocal was not perfect by any means, but it had a moment of magic, and most importantly, she followed two so-so performances, so the uptick in energy alone was worth it, and made you root for Carney.

Salwart host Carson Daly announced that this was the closest Instant Save vote yet— and according to the official "Voice" Twitter it came down to two votes. W ith last week’s Instant Save, Joshua Davis, avoiding the Bottom 3 altogether this week, the Twitter vote is proving to have a little more value now that the competition is truly getting tight.

Instant Save: India Carney

As for the coaches, the winner here could really be anyone. The even money is on Pharrell, with him having both Fredericks and Hawthorne in the final stretch. I actually see these two vying for the win.

Hawthorne's +1900 odds render her the long-shot.

Aguilera's looking at +200 odds on BookMaker, with Shelton at +300. Aguilera does have front-runner Kimberly Nichole going for her, though, and her own +300 odds, the best of the bunch.

Levine is dragging behind at +600.
