On this week's episode of "The Bachelorette," Kaitlyn Bristowe confessed to Shawn B. that she slept with Nick Viall, which, let's face it, she kinda had to.
He didn't take the news well. But, what's he going to do - leave? No way. Producers would tape his flustered exit, just as they taped what he chose to do instead: He decided to confront Nick, accusing him of being manipulative. (Which, given the way he crept into the season as it was already begun, is putting it mildly.)
The episode ended with a heated argument between the two that will resume next week. Cliffhanger! Again!
Kaitlyn's adventures continued in Killarney, where she had a one-on-one date with Ben H. They rowed a boat, and then he suggested a game of hide-and-seek as a way to cheer up Kaitlyn after she cut loose Chris "Cupcake" at the end of last week's episode. Ah, the shenanigans.
Ben expressed concern that he was "unlovable," but Kaitlyn assured him that is not the case. Things then turned even more awkward when he told Kaitlyn he'd love to join her in the fantasy suite so they can talk all night. She reacted by asking whether he's a virgin. Ben's answer: No. As was hers to an all-night chat-fest.
Kaitlyn invited Nick, Shawn B. and Joe on the group date to Killarney National Park. Finally, it was Joe’s turn to have a private conversation with Kaitlyn. He told her that he loved her and that he was ready to kiss only her for the next 60 years, and … she dumped him.
She returned to the other two men, telling Nick that she'd see him at the rose ceremony and asking Shawn to spend more time with her later on. When she reconnected with Shawn, she spilled the beans about having sex with Nick back in Dublin.
At first, Shawn was stunned, saying, "I don't even know what to think." But he obviously feels as if this season of the ABC hit is really down to simply him and Nick, who he repeatedly refers to as "the other guy."
Still having doubts, Shawn pulled Kaitlyn aside when she attempted to give him a rose at the rose ceremony. He asked her why she would do something that would put their romance in jeopardy. She stressed that while she went too far with Nick, she was there to explore relationships with more than one guy. She also said that telling Shawn he was "the one" earlier in the competition was a mistake.
Back at the ceremony, Shawn accepted the rose. Jared was eliminated.
Kaitlyn's first overnight date was with Nick, and included visiting a church and later mingling with some locals over drinks. The two then went to an old jail, where Nick chose taking potshots at Shawn rather than wooing maybe the hottest "Bachelorette" in the history of the show.
Later, Kaitlyn invited Nick to the fantasy suite. After leaving the suite and parting ways with Kaitlyn, Shawn paid him that visit and made it clear that he doesn't like him. This is gonna get good.
