Now in its second season, "Bachelor in Paradise" is seeing its ratings go up each week.

There are now 5.2 million people watching the show — it's performing so well, in fact, that ABC has actually given "Bachelor in Paradise" two prime-time air dates per week: two hours on Sunday evening and an additional hour followed by an hour-long discussion hosted by "Bachelor" host Chris Harrison on Monday.

Overkill much?

As for this past week: We picked up Monday right where Sunday’s episode left off. Juelia took Samantha aside to warn her about Joe. Always a fruitless path - even in paradise.

Jade voiced that she believed Samantha would break up with Joe when she heard how he treated Juelia.

The evidence continued to mount against Joe and Samantha. The most damning piece of evidence is that Tanner claimed to have seen screenshots of texts between Joe and Samantha where she tells him to do anything necessary to stay on the show until she arrives. You can only make such a claim for so long without proving it, though.

Tanner and Jared cornered Joe while he was hanging out in Samantha’s room. They were asking Joe to just come clean and apologize, so everyone could move on. Samantha and Joe thought that the cameras weren’t on them, for whatever reason, and she started to feed him straight-up lies and tell him what she said in her confessional so they could seemingly get their story straight: “We didn’t talk, I told them I didn’t know he was interested in me. It was all purely social media and text. There was no plotting with Joe. I wouldn’t do that. You can say all that. We waited. You shouldn’t come off as defensive as you seem now.”

Other equally melodramatic stuff happened, too. Dan went on a date with new arrival Amber. J J went on a date with Megan and "felt a real connection."

Tanner and Jared ultimately brought their Case Against Joe in front of JJ, and JJ was deeply offended. Joe thought the whole thing was stupid, but wouldn’t apologize or admit that he lied.

There were, however, other dates and happier moments. After some reservations on his part, Kirk and Carly's date ended up being an overnight one - need I say more? And while Jade and Tanner didn't have a date per se this week, they definitely appeared to be clicking. Megan and JJ - for the record - did have fun on their date.

JJ is presently shining, especially compared to Joe. He got visibly angry when he spoke of Joe messing with a girl's emotions. He was ready to fight for Juelia. Either that, or he's a pretty good actor. Or a real one, hired for the show.

Dan and Amber had a nice, simple date together. The girl walked in with her eyes set on him and put her date card to good use. It's certainly perfect timing that someone with their heart set on Dan, a contestant that flew far under the radar during a past season (Desiree's), arrived just after his and Ashley's breakup.

Ashley, Dan's previous pairing, had a really difficult week though, but that's par for the reality TV course. You have to watch your ex connect with other people sometimes. Even when they've only been your ex for like ten minutes.
