2015-Bachelor-in-Paradise-Betting-Odds

The second-season premiere of the ABC spin-off "Bachelor in Paradise" Sunday night was highlighted by the return of Ashley Iaconetti (heretofore referred to simply as Ashley I.), plus the introduction of her little sister.

Ashley I., the self-professed virgin from Chris Soules' season of "The Bachelor," brought Lauren to Mexico to join several other "Bachelor"/"Bachelorette" alumni, even though Lauren has no connection to the franchise whatsoever. Talk about moral support!

Lauren was immediately wooed by Mikey Tenerelli, though she later complained to Big Sis that he was "too aggressive."She also later broke down in tears at a cocktail party. She remarked that she was "freaking out," apparently overwhelmed by her new surroundings. Why wouldn't she be?

Big Sis couldn't be bothered, though, with her eye set on Jared Haibon, who was coming off a rejection by the blazing Kaitlyn Bristowe earlier this summer on "The Bachelorette." He was initially reluctant to accept her invitation for a date after she received the first date card. He warmed up to her, though, as they took an ATV ride through a jungle to a private beach.

Jade, another alumni, also earned a date card, and Ashley I. was worried that she would ask out Jared, too. But Jade opted for Tanner Tolbert, another contestant from the recent “Bachelorette” season.

Another romance that may be brewing: Kirk Dewindt and Carly Waddell, who kissed during the cocktail party.

The quirky Ashley Salter -- a.k.a. "Onion Girl" from this year's edition of "The Bachelor" -- was taken to the hospital for reasons not made clear.

The episode ended with the addition of season-one star Clare Crawley to the crew.

Speaking of the first season of "Bachelor in Paradise," Marcus Grodd and Lacy Faddoul were brought back to tie the knot in a wedding officiated by host Chris Harrison. Their romance began on the show last summer.

The season premiere continued Monday night with more dates and the first rose ceremony, plus plenty of tears this time around from Ashley I. She was obsessing about potentially dying alone (always a turn-on). More to the point, she was concerned that Jared Haibon's interest was fading again.

Jared sent mixed signals to Ashley I., which is, of course, par for the course. At one point, he told her, "I think you're amazing." But moments later, he promised a rose to Clare Crawley if she didn't have one by the time it was his turn to present a rose during the rose ceremony.

As it turned out, Clare didn't need Jared's rose. She received one from Mikey Tenerelli, who was getting nowhere with sister Lauren, who isn't even technically in the game. After the late-to-arrive Clare earned a date card, Mikey volunteered to join her; she accepted because everyone else had essentially paired up already.

While swimming by a waterfall, Mikey tried to kiss her, but Clare wasn't interested.

Ashley Salter -- back from the hospital -- got a date card, too, inviting Dan Cox for a romantic dinner that did involve kissing.

At the first rose ceremony, the men were in charge of handing out the roses. Ashley I. did get a rose from Jared, which not only kept her on the show, but somehow Lauren, too. The final rose was presented by JJ Lane, to Tenley Molzahn. Jillian Anderson was the only woman to not get a rose and, therefore, was sent home.
