2015-Amazing-Race-2-Betting-Lines

Here’s how things played out for the five remaining teams as they traveled from Amsterdam to Peru:

Team Medical nailed first place.

Lawyers have bonded, significantly, which has little to do with their actual chances with regard to winning.

Team Truck Stop worked really hard.

Tyler and Laura - otherwise known as Team SoCal - had a great sense of humor, which comes in handy when you finish practically in last place and you're heading into the Final Four.

Hayley and Blair arrive at the Pit Stop first and win the fitbit fitness kit. Despite the fact that they are arguing they assure everyone that they are getting along famously. They even used the term "BFF's."

They may not be the favorites here at BookMaker, but they are definitely the favorites with TAR fans. Twitters was alight this past weekend with folks cheering them on, assuring them they could, and would, win this season. And their +540 odds are solid.

Second place: Jenny and Jelani. They are hanging in there, and sharing +600 odds with...

Third place: Mike and Rochelle.

Fourth place: Laura and Tyler. Their -160 odds suggest this is their season to lose, but I don't see it as that much of a slam dunk. Laura and Tyler were brought to the wrong Detour, so they decided to stay with the potato task. I initially saw this as a sign of resilience, but then they started to argue. At the market, Laura and Tyler started rinsing dirt off of the potatoes as they sorted them. When they ran out of water, they decided to use their own spit. I revisited the resilience thought process. Whatever it takes, gang.

ELIMINATED: The Hairdressers

Matt and Ashley really did their best, and they always did so with a lot of love for each other. We last saw them "in action" as they showed up thinking that they were at the Mamas challenge, only to learn from Laura and Tyler that their driver brought the beleaguered couple to the wrong location. Matt and Ashley shared a smile, look back at the farm, almost breaking that infamous 4th wall to alert viewers that this would be it for them.

It’s noteworthy that their departure leaves only Mike and Rochelle to hold down the established couple front. And these two met at a truck stop!

Interestingly, last week's episode was dictated by the Fitbits on the contestants’ wrists. CBS has long been tracking contestants on its reality shows, and Fitbit Charge activity data had been referenced all season on a leader board, but there was full-on integration with last week's challenges. It was a great way to see how the teams were truly getting on.

Team SoCal should be worried that they’ve drifted to the back of the pack. But I suspect they are too deep into the competition to even be aware of that.

Hayley and Blair could really win this thing, but Hayley either has to get her temper in check or Blair has to begin not letting that temper get to him. Or both.
