Dan was not happy at the outset of this week's episode. He received two votes -- from Tyler and Will -- and he started to wonder if perhaps Mike has been telling the truth about Rodney having a secret alliance that will eventually result in Dan on the losing end of a vote.

Mike, however, was in fine spirits. Tyler said he voted for Dan, and he plans on doing it again. The masks are dropping, right on schedule.

Morning arrived and it was Rodney's birthday, leaving him hoping that, at last, he might win a reward, get some food and get to go on an exciting adventure. Will and Carolyn promised to give Rodney the reward if they win.

The Reward Challenge involved two teams of three. They had to work their way through net slings and launch balls, via a catapult, into baskets.

It was realized that there were seven players and only six spots. Dan, Tyler and Rodney were one team; Carolyn, Mike and Sierra another. Will sat it out. At stake: Take a truck load of toys and bikes to an orphanage, where you're also be treated to a feast.

For the record, Dan and Will are tied at +3000 on the BookMaker leaderboard.

Rodney screwed up by leaving the bag of balls behind, leaving his team to play catch-up. Mike did all of the heavy lifting and his team won.

Rodney and Mike are +1100 and -120, respectively. Rodney might be the first person to annoy his way to victory. (Well, then again, there was Richard Hatch.) This makes Mike the favorite, and he does seem poised to win.

Mike, Carolyn and Sierra rode off in the truck, where they were mobbed by boys and girls who were thrilled to get balls, bikes and lots of toys. "Survivor"...with a heart.

Sierra is a long-shot, on the leaderboard at +2200 but, hey, she is still in the running.

Meanwhile, Rodney hatched a plan to tell Carolyn that he's totally lost his mind and wants to be voted off. He figured he'd be so convincing that Mike would think everyone is voting for Rodney and he wouldn't play his idol, but in reality, they would all vote for Mike. Rodney promised that Mike would be going home.

Tyler said he doesn't think the plan has any hope of working, thinking that Mike will play his idol and vote for Tyler, who then would be out of the game.

Carolyn and Tyler went off to talk. Carolyn thought Mike would vote for Tyler or Dan, and Tyler hinted, broadly, that Carolyn should play her idol to save him if he doesn't win the immunity challenge. He didn't - Carolyn did.

Carolyn's +750 odds are looking good, and also to change.

At Tribal Council Mike assured Jeff Probst that he's got his idol with him, and he said Tyler and Dan should be worrying. One of the Alliance of Six will be voted off.

When it was time to vote Probst tallied, and no extra vote was cast, with Mike playing his idol. Most of the votes fell Mike's way, but as they don't count, Tyler's worst fears are realized. Tyler was sent packing.
