Survivor-Picks6

And then there were six.

The misfits returned to camp and Tai told Jason that his speech at Tribal Council almost scared him into playing his hidden immunity idol. He then spoke with Joe and Aubry about their alliance, saying they have to stay strong. They agreed that they would.

Aubry expressed a need to stay on Tai's good side because "he holds all the power".

REWARD CHALLENGE

Visiting a Wildlife Alliance, which rescues animals from poachers and illegal traders, the holdovers bonded.

Then the survivors divided into two teams of three -- Joe, Aubry and Cydney against Jason,Michele and Tai.

The challenge involved crossing a water obstacle, one at a time, and then manipulating a huge floating platform and trying to get three large balls through a maze and into holes in the center. It required a lot of team work.

Joe and Jason were first out first for their teams and Joe immediately fell behind. Then when his team was finally working on the challenge, Joe slowed them down again with bad advice. Jason, Tai and Michele, however, quickly learned to work together and win the challenge.

Tai was happy to win, of course, but equally stressed over leaving his alliance behind. Rightly so.

IMMUNITY CHALLENGE

Requiring steady balance, and really far too complicated to describe (plus unnecessary) Joe took a surprising lead, but then crashed. And burned. Michele was in the lead, then lost it, followed by Aubry, Tai and Jason. Cydney, who Jeff Probst wrote her off as being hopelessly out of the game, suddenly found herself in first place.

Back at Survivor camp, Tai tried to convince Joe, Aubry and Cydney to vote off Michele. Joe wanted to vote off Jason (at least one person does a week), but before they could talk about it, Michele joined them in the water and they pretended the plan was to vote off Jason, which clearly pleased Michele.

Later, Aubry told Tai that she agreed that Michele is a bigger threat. Tai then told Jason they're voting off Michele, but Jason didn't know if he could trust Tai. Jason wanted to vote off Joe.

TRIBAL COUNCIL

Tai just kept talking himself into a deeper hole. He said he needed to talk privately with Cydney but he wasn't able to, and she probably didn't want to anyway.

Michele launched into a diatribe against Tai and his history of turning on his alliance, and others joined in, like chorus of haters. Jason just sat on his stool, listening quietly. Surely he figured his time was up, but just in case it wasn't, why speak and make it so. Dig?

Votes were cast and before Probst could tally them, Tai spoke up. He wanted to use his advantage, which was a second vote. He cast a second one for Michele.

Probst tallied, Tai held onto his hidden idol and the votes were one for Joe, two for Michele and four for Jason, whose time was up after all.

Tai was the only one who voted for Michele, which meant he just wasted his advantage. That won't be forgotten soon. If ever.
