Teen-Choice-Awards.vp

Teens picked the nominees and we'll see how they voted, too, this coming Sunday, August 16. We've got Avengers versus Hunger Games and Selena taking on Swift, so it's not like the voting could have been easy either!

Some of the choice categories - they're even called "Choice"! - include:

Choice Movie: Action/Adventure

Furious 7

Insurgent

Kingsman: The Secret Service

San Andreas

The Maze Runner

Tracers

Keep in mind, the results here have little to do with box office and even less with how good the actual film was; this is all what is the hottest commodity, and/or has the hottest commodity star(s). That being the case, while "Kingsman" should win, look for "Furious 7" to take this, if only as a way to honor its fallen star, Paul Walker.

Choice Movie Actor: Action/Adventure

Ansel Elgort – Insurgent

Dylan O’Brien – The Maze Runner

Paul Walker – Furious 7

Taylor Lautner – Tracers

Theo James – Insurgent

Vin Diesel – Furious 7

Same logic applies here, but will it be the posthumous win (Walker), or one for co-star Vin Diesel, riding quite the resurgence, and it can also still be seen as tribute?

Choice Movie Actress: Action/Adventure

Alexandra Daddario – San Andreas

Jordana Brewster – Furious 7

Kaya Scodelario – The Maze Runner

Maggie Grace – Taken 3

Michelle Rodriguez – Furious 7

Shailene Woodley – Insurgent

No such luck for the "Furious" ladies, in my opinion; look for Woodley to either still with the Y/A darling, or maybe even a dark horse in Scodelario, especially with the eagerly-anticipated "Maze Runner" sequel hitting theaters in a month.

Choice Movie: Sci-Fi/Fantasy

Avengers: Age of Ultron

Cinderella

Mad Max: Fury Road

The Hobbit: Battle of the 5 Armies

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1

Tomorrowland

"Avengers," hands down.

Choice Movie Actor: Sci-Fi/Fantasy

Channing Tatum – Jupiter Rising

Chris Hemsworth – Avengers: Age of Ultron

George Clooney – Tomorrowland

Josh Hutcherson – The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1

Liam Hemsworth – The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1

Robert Downey Jr – Avengers: Age of Ultron

Kinda surprised Captain America himself (Chris Evans) didn't make the cut here. Feels like a toss-up between Hutcherson, who was barely in "Mockingjay Pt. 1," and Tatum, who was in a movie that was barely seen. But "Magic Mike" might lend some magic to the voting, whether they're teens or not.

Choice Movie Actress: Sci-Fi/Fantasy

Mila Kunis – Jupiter Ascending

Britt Robertson – Tomorrowland

Jennifer Lawrence – The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1

Lily James – Cinderella

Scarlett Johansson – Avengers: Age of Ultron

Mackenzie Foy – Interstellar

Lawrence or Johansson.

Choice Movie: Drama

Fury

If I Stay

McFarland, USA

The Age of Adaline

The Longest Ride

The Theory of Everything

This is anyone's guess - the box office disappointment "If I Stay" could eke out a victory here, thanks in large part to its young cast and bittersweet love story.

Choice Movie: Comedy

Aloha

Dumb and Dumber To

Night At The Museum: Secret of The Tomb

Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2

Pitch Perfect 2

The Duff

I'd like to see "The Duff" win here, but it's up against that juggernaut "Pitch Perfect 2."

Television Choice TV Show: Drama

Castle

Empire

Grey’s Anatomy

Nashville

Pretty Little Liars

The Fosters

It has certainly been the year of "Empire," but here? Critics mean little, so it could succumb to "Pretty Little Liars" and its substantial fan base.

Choice TV Show: Comedy

Austin & Ally

Awkward

Girl Meets World

New Girl

The Big Bang Theory

Young & Hungry

If the younger kids voted more heavily here look for an "Austin & Ally" or even "Girl Meets World" to take it. But if the older teens took the time, "New Girl" should nab it.

Choice TV: Animated Show

Adventure Time

Family Guy

Gravity Falls

The Regular Show

The Simpsons

Star Wars Rebels

Toss-up between "Adventure Time" and "The Regular Show."

Choice TV: Reality Show

American Idol

Dance Mums

Keeping Up With The Kardashians

Lip Sync Battle

MasterChef Jr

The Voice

The KUWTK fatigue is settling in, so I'd go with either "Lip Sync Battle" here or some throwback love for the stalwart "Idol," especially with its final season approaching.

Music Choice Male Artist

Ed Sheeran

Jason Derulo

Nick Jonas

Pitbull

Sam Smith

Shawn Mendes

Smith has had quite the year, but the kids still love Jonas.

Choice Female Artist

Ariana Grande

Demi Lovato

Iggy Azalea

Rihanna

Selena Gomez

Taylor Swift

Swift.

Choice Song: Group

5 Seconds of Summer – ‘What I Like About You’

Echosmith- ‘Cool Kids’

Fall Out Boy – ‘Centuries’

Fifth Harmony – ‘Worth It’

Maroon 5 – ‘Sugar’

One Direction – ‘Steal My Girl’

It should go to Fall Out Boy, it could go to Fall Out Boy, but 5SOS fans are a fevered lot.

Choice Comedian

Amy Schumer

Ellen Degeneres

George Lopez

Jimmy Fallon

Jimmy Kimmel

Kevin Hart

This is Schumer vs. Hart, plain and simple. Schumer's huge summer blockbuster "Trainwreck" notwithstanding, her humor does skew much older, so Hart could take this.
