Will Caitlyn Jenner make her first appearance at the "Miss USA" pageant? That question has somehow bumped actual questions regarding who might win the crown itself!

The Next "Miss USA" will be crowned on July 12 in Baton Rouge, televised live on NBC.

Representatives from Kentucky, New York, Colorado, Texas, Rhode Island, Oklahoma, California and Florida were among those chosen for a Maxim magazine video/introduction, with the clip featuring the eight women posing on a beach and sitting in-studio for short interviews.

Maxim magazine is not typically a "Miss USA" precursor.

The pageant will host 51 contestants: one woman from each state plus Washington, D.C.

"You can do anything to fix yourself up, but the beauty that comes from a knowledge of yourself is unbeatable," said Miss California USA, Natasha Martinez.

There’s considerable buzz about Miss Louisiana, 26 year-old Candace Bennatt.

With a Masters already under her belt, Bennatt is currently going through law school and works with victims of domestic violence. Sadly, she knows whereof she speaks.

“I was extremely physically injured. I had my eardrum ruptured and my jawbone fractured and now here I am today and I get to spread the message about domestic violence and dating abuse awareness,” Bennatt told one interviewer.

With the confidence to walk away, years later, Bennatt is ready to show the judges who Miss Louisiana really is. This is strong stuff, and with the beauty and brains part to coincide, she is absolutely a force to be reckoned with.

Miss Nevada USA Brittany McGowan is getting plenty of advice from Miss Nevada Pageant winners Jade Kelsall, Chelsea Caswell and even Nia Sanchez, the state's first

Miss Nevada USA to win Miss USA. Will advice get her there, though?

Miss New Mexico 2015, Alexis Duprey, 24, did her first pageant when she was 4 years old. Now, 20 years later, she is representing New Mexico, and is also making strides toward the crown, proving she is media savvy.

Of New Mexico she has said, "I've lived here for basically my whole life. I love the people, I love how beautiful our state is and I love the amount of community service and community support that we have here, which is also why I am proud to do pageants in this state because there is so much for philanthropy and community organizations"

Duprey attended New Mexico State University. She won the seventh season of "Look Who's Dancing" at NMSU, where she graduated with honors as an undergraduate with majors in communications and journalism. In May, she received her master's degree.

The Miss USA pageant has been broadcast every year since 1952, according to the Miss Universe website. The contestant who wins Miss USA is eligible to compete for the title of Miss Universe. The aforementioned Nia Sanchez also placed first runner-up in the 63rd Annual Miss Universe Pageant, competing against 87 contestants.

Donald Trump continues to be the "head honcho" of the pageant, and he is the one trumpeting the possible red carpet debut of Caitlyn Jenner. Trump has proven himself as equally media savvy.

The 64th edition of Miss USA will take place on July 12, 2015, airing on NBC.
