2015-Big-Brother-Betting-Lines

The first part of the double eviction went wildly unexpectedly. Actually, the whole night was bananas.

Many assumed it would be Vanessa going home, a housemate who both impressed but mostly infuriated this season. She tried to go to Becky, then Steve, and ultimately James — and it was this last act of cunning desperation that indeed saved her.

Vanessa revealed how Becky ratted out James’ plans to Shelli and Clay. Suddenly everyone was convinced that Becky’s a rat and Shelli will come after them if she sticks around.

So James, Meg, and Jackie ended up going into the eviction with a new agenda to rid the house of Shelli. It was an 8-0 vote, and Shelli was out - also, she was somehow unsurprised.

Again, this was a two-eviction night. Before getting there, however, some thoughts: Becky’s target all week had been Vanessa. Becky and Johnny Mac seem to be the only ones who see through Vanessa’s strategy. Vanessa tried to make one of her deals with Becky to no avail. It was fantastic. And even though Becky wanted her out (and still wants her out), Shelli still went home.

John, James, and Vanessa found themselves chosen to compete in the veto competition. The HGs had to roll balls down a ski slope and get one ball into each of three holes. And in numerical order. If it's not over in 3.5 minutes, it's over and whoever got the most balls the fastest wins.

John, James and Jackie are the first to get their second balls. Steve complained that his was broken. Johnny Mac won. Quickly, too.

As for the HOH competition, Steve was the winner there. You read that right.

Steve, the guy who has literally done nothing the entire season but in one fell swoop, thanks to a trivia question of all things, he was HOH.

Steve then, curiously, nominated Meg and Jackie. Not Becky, like he’s been grumbling for months. Not Liz or Julia, or even Austin. Not Vanessa or Johnny Mac. No, Steve opted to put the girls up.

What the heck was Steve thinking with that move? I'm not even sure he knows. Meg and Jackie were clearly shocked. Meg then said she’s always up against a friend and doesn’t know what she’ll do without Jackie, adding she has more game to play and asking them to keep her.

Then it was Jackie’s turn and she said she loves them, this was merely a miscommunication and she hopes they get to come back in the game. Voting started. Vanessa voted to evict Jackie. Becky voted to evict Meg. John voted to evict Jackie. Austin voted to evict Jackie. James voted to evict Jackie. Liz voted to evict Jackie. Julia voted to evict Jackie. The votes were in and Julie gave the news.

Jackie was sent packing.

Jackie packing was a surprise, and upsetting, to many "Big Brother" fans, but as Julie Chen is always quick to point out, "If you're in the jury it doesn't mean you're out of the game." One of these weeks there is going to be a competition where someone from the jury gets to return to the house and, therefore, the game. Message boarders already agree that will, and should be, Julie.

Until then, Vanessa remains a front-runner.
