The Armory, Washington D.C.

Lucian Bute +325

Badou Jack -400

TV: Showtime, 10 p.m. ET

WBC 168-pound champion Badou Jack - 20-1-1, 20 KOs - meets former titleholder Lucian Bute - 32-3, 25 KOs - who made nine title defenses as an IBF champion between 2007 and 2012. A southpaw, Bute is coming off a win over James DeGale this past November. Jack is best known for upsetting both Andre Dirrell and George Groves, and is finally getting some respect from oddsmakers as a -400 favorite. Beating a veteran like Bute would further cement him as one of the best in the weight class.

The Armory, Washington D.C.

Rogelio Medina +1100

James DeGale -2100

TV: Showtime, 10 p.m. ET

IBF champion James DeGale - 22-1, 14 KOs - meets mandatory challenger Rogelio Medina - 35-6, 29 KOs - in the co-main event of Jack-Bute. It should be a crowd-pleasing fight, as DeGale already has a Fight of the Year candidate under his belt and Medina is a slugger who’s knocked out three straight opponents coming into the bout. However, Medina has yet to beat anyone close to DeGale’s level, which explains why he’s an 11-to-1 underdog.

Trump Taj Mahal, Atlantic City, New Jersey

Blake Caparello +900

Andre Dirrell -800

TV: Spike, 9 p.m. ET

Olympic bronze medalist Andre Dirrell - 24-2, 16 KOs - will return to the ring for a 10-round bout against Australia’s Blake Caparello - 22-1-1, 6 KOs. Caparello shockingly scored a first-round knockdown of Sergey Kovalev in 2014 but lost the bout, and hasn’t really done anything of note since then. Dirrell last fought in May, when he was defeated by James Degale in a matchup where he was knocked down twice. It’s likely he gets back on track against a mid-tier guy like Caparello.

APRIL 29, 2016

Trump Taj Mahal, Atlantic City, New Jersey

Daniel Rosas +900

Jonathan Guzman -1400

TV: Spike, 9 p.m. ET

Undefeated Dominican brawler Jonathan Guzman - 20-0, 20 KOs - and Mexico’s Daniel Rosas - 20-2-1, 12 KOs - square off in an IBF super bantamweight title eliminator, with the winner likely to face current champion Carl Frampton. Guzman has notched all of his wins by KO, and the storyline going into this bout is whether he can continue that 100% ratio. I’d bet on that happening, as Rosas has faced soft competition his entire career.

APRIL 27, 2016

Convention Centre, Brisbane, Australia

Randall Bailey +240

Jeff Horn -290

TV: Local, 2 p.m.

Jeff Horn, Australia’s best boxing prospect, will test his skills against former three-time world champion Randall Bailey. A former Olympian, the 27-year old Horn is 14-0 has come on strong in the past 18 months, beating EU champion Ahmed El Mousaoui this past December. His chin will be tested by Bailey, whose nickname as “The Knockout King” is befitting of a fighter with an 85% KO ratio.

APRIL 26, 2016

OTA-City General Gymnasium, Tokyo, Japan

Inthanon Sithchamuang +1550

Kohei Kono -2650

TV: Local, 11 p.m.

WBA super flyweight champion Kohei Kono - 31-8-1, 13 KOs - makes his third title defense at home against Thailand’s Ithnanon Sithchamuang - 28-7-1, 17 KOs. Kono is coming off an impressive win over Koki Kameda, cementing his status as one of Asia’s best boxers despite an unimpressive record. His defense against the Thai boxer is little more than a tune-up, as evidenced by the boxing odds at BookMaker.
