MAIN EVENT

Super Lightweight Championship

Adrien Broner -3400

Ashley Theophane +1350

Already a four-division champion at age 26, Broner comes into the bout as a 34-to-1 favorite against a veteran Ashley Theophane. Broner is coming off a dominating win over Khabib Allakherdiev this past October, and is generally regarded as one of the better fighters on the planet - as well as one of its best trash talkers.

“Ashley Theophane is a world class fighter and this is going to be a tough fight for me...I want to fight the best in the 140-pound weight division and Ashley Theophane is one of the best.”

Despite Broner’s claims, Theophane can hardly be considered a top guy in the weight class. The English native, promoted by Floyd Mayweather, has never beaten a notable fighter. He comes into the bout on a six-fight win streak against subpar competition.

Lightweights

Robert Easter -339

Algenis Mendez +267

Undefeated Robert Easter, a former 2012 Olympic alternate, returns to PBC after three undercard stints on Keith Thurman-Robert Guerrero, Adrien Broner-Shawn Porter and Broner-Khabib Allakverdiev in 2015. The Ohio native has looked extremely impressive thus far in his career, although he hasn’t beaten world-class opposition yet.

However, Algenis Mendez is a former world champion and a fine litmus test for Robert Easter. A 2004 Olympics competitor, the Dominican is coming off a win over ex-champion Miguel Vasquez. Mendez has a few notable wins, with scalps of Martin Honorio, Cassius Baloyi and Daniel Evangelista Jr.

BEST OF THE REST

Gervonta Davis - 14-0, 13 KOs - will meet Guillermo Avila - 16-5, 13 KOs. The 21-year old Davis, known as “Tank”, is an exciting prospect with sick power. Avila has no quality wins on his resume, but has faced good fighters like Wilfredo Vasquez Jr., Jonathan Oquendo and Miguel Marriaga.

In other action, Anthony Peterson - 36-1, 24 KOs - the younger brother of Lamont Peterson, will look to extend his winning streak to six.
