NBA Sunday, March 3, 2024 Parlay Picks

Just like last week the NBA schedule for Sunday, March 3 features a double doubleheader with the league’s best teams and players facing each other on the national stage. The eight-game slate also offers some intriguing matchups with a plethora of NBA parlay wagering opportunities. The festivities get started at 1 p.m. ET with a matinee between the Philadelphia 76ers and Dallas Mavericks on ABC. Both clubs are fighting to secure a top six in their respective conference thus avoiding the play-in tournament so there should be a sense of urgency. The Sixers are struggling with Joel Embiid on the shelf losing two straight and 12 of 16 following Tuesday’s loss to Boston. Philly is just 5-11 ATS in that span.

A rematch of the 2022 NBA Finals completes the first doubleheader with the Golden State Warriors visiting the league best Boston Celtics. The Cs have been the best team in the NBA all season but one of their rare setbacks came in San Francisco in mid-December with the Duds squeaking out a 132-126 payout. The evening doubleheader on ESPN starts at 7 p.m. ET with the Cleveland Cavaliers hosting New York and concludes with a Western Conference tussle between Oklahoma City and Phoenix. The Thunder stretched their SU and ATS winning streak to six games beating Houston on Tuesday emerging as the most profitable team with a cover rate of almost 65 percent.

I came out of the All-Star break the same way I went into it. In other words I’m still searching for a winning NBA parlay. As we enter the last full month of the regular season time is running out to make up for those losses, but I’ll keep plugging along. I’ve come close on several occasions and have become as frustrated as someone trying to defend Stephen Curry. And speaking of Curry, his Warriors are in Boston for a key game on Sunday.

The Dubs have picked up the pace as they make a charge for the top six in the Western Conference. They finish off a four-game road trip in Boston after beating the Celtics and earning the cash in an overtime win earlier this season. The Celtics still haven’t recovered from their loss in the Finals a few years ago and with Curry lighting it up I’m backing the Warriors on the NBA betting line. Curry went for 33 with him and Klay Thompson each making six three-pointers.

A massive game in the West has the Clippers visiting Minnesota with the two jockeying for position at the top of the standings. The Wolves won the first two meetings with the most recent by 21 points on the road. They’ve clamped down defensively against an efficient LA offense and have made the most of opportunities on the offensive side. Since a torrid two-month stretch the Clips have cooled dropping two of their first three since the break and four of seven overall. And they’ve struggled against the better teams, which the Wolves definitely are.

The Pacers are right in the thick of the playoff race looking to slip into the top six in the East. They boast an explosive offense with Tyrese Haliburton elevating to superstardom averaging 21.5 points and 11.6 assists. Indy leads the NBA in scoring and field goal percentage and dropped 152 on the Spurs back in November. They probably won’t reach that number on Sunday, but the Pacers could have a field day against one of the worst defensive teams. The Spurs surrender nearly 121 points a game and allowed at least 123 points five times during a recent eight game stretch. To elevate in the standings the Pacers need to win games like this and they will.
