The 2019-2020 PGA Tour season will feature an expanded schedule and some adjustments to the schedule because of the 2020 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo. There will be a total of 49 FedExCup tournaments, with 46 of those events taking place between September 2019 and November 2020. There will be two new events, the Zozo Championship and the Bermuda Championship and there will actually be a “bye” week on the schedule in late July because of the Summer Olympics.

Golf’s unofficial fifth major is THE PLAYERS Championship at TPC Sawgrass in Ponta Vedra Beach, Florida. The event has been moved on the calendar from mid-May to mid-March. The event is known for the famous par-3 17th hole which has the “Island Green”. The field for this event is just as good as all of the majors, with all of the world’s top ranked players in the tournament. The winning player receives almost $2 million dollars, the largest share of any tournament purse in golf. The winner also receives a five-year exemption on the PGA Tour and a three year invite to the Masters, U.S. Open and British Open.
