The vacant World Boxing Organization world middleweight title will be on the line October 20, 2018 when Demetrius Andrade (25-0, 16 knockouts) meets Walter Kautondokwa (17-0, 16 knockouts) at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. The bout is scheduled for 12 round and can be seen on DAZN.

The 30-year-old Demetrius Andrade has 25 wins and no losses with a total of 16 knockout wins for his career. Known as “Boo Boo” Andrade stands at six feet, one inch tall with a reach of 73.5 inches and fights from a southpaw stance. Andrade is a native of Providence, Rhode Island where he still resides. He is currently ranked sixth in the world.

Andrade last stepped into the ring on October 21, 2017 when he faced Alantez Fox a the Turning Stone Resort & Casino, Verona. Andrade scored a unanimous decision win despite the fact that he went down in the seventh round.

Prior to that on March 11, 2017 Andrade scored a split decision win in a 12-round bout against Jack Culcay at the Friedrich Ebert Halle, Ludwigshafen. This bout was for the World Boxing Association world super welterweight title.

Andrade is a two time former light middleweight world champion that held the World Boxing Organization title form 2013 to 2015 and the World Boxing Association title in 2017. Andrade was a stellar amateur that won United States national championships and the Golden Gloves. He was also a gold medal winner at the 2007 world championships. Andrade represented the United States at the 2008 Olympics as a welterweight.

Walter Kautondokwa has a career record of 17-0 with a total of 16 knockout wins for his career. Kautondokwa is currently ranked 17th in the world. The native of Windhoek Namibia now resides in Eenhana, Namibia and fights from an orthodox stance.

Kautondokwa last fought on March 20, 2017 when he faced Billi Facundo Godoy at the Ramatex Hall in Windhoek. Kautondokwa scored a fifth-round technical knockout as Godoy went down with a left hook in that round. The bout was scheduled for 12 rounds.

On October 21, 2017 Kautondokwa earned a third-round technical knockout win over Meshack Mwankemwa in a bout that was scheduled for 12 rounds and was for the World Boxing Organization Africa middleweight title. The bout was held at the Windhoek Country Club resort in Windhoek.

This is a very tough assignment for Walter Kautondokwa. He was given the opportunity for this fight in late September and as a result as not had much time to prepare. Meanwhile Andrade is a quality boxer that has preparing for this opportunity for several months.
