Caleb Plant vs. Vincent Feigenbutz Betting Odds

There have yet to be boxing betting odds released for this bout, but Plant will surely be favored as the defending IBF super middleweight champion. Plant will have the support of the crowd in his favor too, cheering him on since he grew up less than 25 miles from Nashville.

To those unfamiliar with betting on boxing, if Plant opens as a -800 favorite in this bout, you need to bet $800 on Plant to win $100 in profit. Those odds would probably lead to Feigenbutz being a +500 underdog, so a $100 bet on the challenger would return $500 if Feigenbutz claimed the title.

As the fight nears, there will be decision betting too. You will be able to bet on whether the fight is decided by KO, TKO, or decision, and you can bet on which boxer will win the fight in that fashion as well.

Caleb Plant vs. Vincent Feigenbutz Preview

Plant turned professional two years after missing out on the 2012 Summer Olympics. He won his first bout in under a minute, knocking out Travis Donaldson to register his first win. Plant proved he had pop by winning eight of his first nine bouts by knockout, but he has become a more technical fighter as he has risen in the ranks.

His first big victory came over the powerful Tyrone Brunson in October 2015, beating Brunson by unanimous decision. Plant went on to win his next two bouts by knockout before running off a streak of victories by unanimous decision to set up a title fight with Jose Uzcategui for the IBF super middleweight belt. He won that fight by unanimous decision to win his first belt, and he successfully defended the belt back in July.

Plant had little trouble dispatching of Mike Lee in his last fight. That bout was the primary undercard for Manny Pacquiao’s bout against Keith Thurman, and he registered the second-quickest knockout of the night, winning by TKO in the third round.

Feigenbutz has been a professional boxer for a little over eight years. He has been the best in his class in Germany for the last five years, and he has consistently challenged some of the best boxers in Europe. In August 2014, he beat Slavisa Simeunovic by first-round TKO to win the IBO Intercontinental super middleweight title, and he retained the title less than a month later by beating Guram Natsulishvili by TKO in the third round.

He was the WBA super middleweight champion for less than a year back in 2015. Feigenbutz won the strap by beating Mauricio Reynoso by third-round TKO in his native Germany, and then he followed that up by winning a unanimous decision over Giovanni De Carolis three months later. Unfortunately, he couldn’t win the rematch against De Carolis, losing the strap in an 11th round loss by TKO.

Since that defeat, Feigenbutz has won 10 straight bouts to earn another title shot. He has consistently held a belt from either the IBF or GBU since late 2016, and he has won his last five fights by knockout.
