Online Poker Tournaments Rules

The following rules are applicable to all online poker tournaments at Bookmaker Poker. Bookmaker Poker provides a safe and secure environment for its players. Please review the rules below to familiarize yourself with correct conduct throughout tournament play.

1. Bookmaker Poker will review all unusual circumstances that may arise during tournament play. Should any unusual circumstances arise, Bookmaker Poker will objectively review all factors before coming to a decision which best resolves any issues and to find the most just resolution for all parties involved.

2. Tournaments will begin at scheduled times displayed in the Tournament Lobby. Bookmaker Poker reserves the right to cancel or delay a scheduled tournament without notice.

3. The details of every online poker tournament including duration of levels and blind structures will be displayed prominently in the Tournament Lobby. Bookmaker Poker reserves the right to change these details at any time without notice.

4. In no-limit tournaments, there is no restriction on the number of raises allowed in a single hand. Fixed limit tournaments have limited raises, and there are no more than three raises allowed per round of betting.

5. Each player is randomly assigned his or her seat. Bookmaker Poker does not allow players to change seats during a tournament. All tournaments will begin with the button being placed at seat one.

6. The prize payouts will be determined once all rebuys, add-ons and re-entries have been completed and registration is closed. Prize pools may vary depending on the number of entrants and rebuys.

7. In order to register for any tournament or to make a rebuy, add-on, or re-entry, the player must have the funds accessible in the account. Funds currently in play do not count as available.

8. Players can re-enter a tournament as many times as they like (provided the tournament has the re-entry option available), so long as the tournament is still in Late Registration. Players will be able to re-enter for the same cost as the initial buy-in (with the exception of re-entry freerolls).

9. The use of multiple accounts for one person is prohibited and will not be tolerated.

10. Players may unregister for an online poker tournament at any time prior to its start and will receive a full refund provided they pull out prior to the start of the tournament. Once the tournament has begun, players will not receive a refund on their buy-in. Tournament entries won in satellites may not be redeemed for cash and hold no cash value.

11. Tournaments conclude once one player has accumulated all the chips in the tournament. If two or more players are eliminated in the same hand, the player with the most chips prior to the hand being dealt will be awarded the higher finishing spot. If both players have the same number of chips prior to their elimination, the players tie for that rank and any prize money is distributed equally.

12. When there is a significant increase in the prize pool, Bookmaker Poker will move to hand-for-hand play. This allows every table to complete hands at the same time and is the fairest way to determine the finishing order. Two players at different tables that are eliminated on the same hand will be considered knocked out at the same time. The finishing order will then be determined relative to their chip count prior to the hand. (See Rule 11)

13. No player will receive the button on consecutive hands. In circumstances where players are eliminated while in the small blind or big blind, the button will continue to move in a clockwise direction. All players will be spared a blind when this occurs, making this an equal opportunity proposition for all players.

14. When playing heads up at the final table, the small blind will be in the position of the dealer.

15. As players are eliminated throughout the tournament, tables will be removed, and players will move to other tables. This reseating is completely random. Occasionally, players may be reseated and forced to pay blinds after just paying blinds at their previous table, but our online poker software aims to relocate players in similar seat positions to those they were previously seated in.

16. Players will receive breaks in all multiple table tournaments. Please check the Tournament Lobby to see when each scheduled break will occur. Breaks will begin once all play has been concluded at every table of the tournament, so some breaks may last slightly longer than others.

17. Once a tournament has been entered, players must assume the risk of internet issues and disconnection. Bookmaker Poker accepts no responsibility for lost monies due to internet issues the player may have. Should a player become disconnected they will still receive cards and pay blinds and antes. Players may voluntarily sit out of hands during a tournament, but they will also continue to receive cards and pay the necessary blinds and antes.

18. No discussion of a hand or hand possibility is allowed while the hand is in play. Any discussion of play will result in a penalty or automatic expulsion from the tournament, and Bookmaker Poker reserves the right to expel the offending party permanently.

19. Players caught in collusion (chip dumping, soft play, or unethical chat) will be removed from the tournament and their account(s) will be banned from playing at Bookmaker Poker. Bookmaker Poker reserves the right to withhold any funds in an account found to be cheating to reimburse the players who have been cheated.

20. Players may not hand off the tournament to another player unless it is due to internet failure, and the original player must make continued efforts to return to play.

21. In the unlikely event that Bookmaker Poker experiences a server crash, the hands and chip counts will be restored to what they were prior to the crash. Should the tournament need to be cancelled, players will receive funds based upon chip counts at the time of the crash.

22. The cash prize awarded in online Poker Bounty tournaments will be immediately credited to the account of the player who eliminated the bounty. Players may not work together to eliminate a bounty player as this is considered collusion (See Rule 19). If a bounty is unable to show up to play the tournament, no bounty cash prize will be awarded for his or her elimination.

23. Tournament Bucks are a unique currency which are used exclusively for tournaments accepting this currency as a buy-in. Tournament Bucks may not be redeemed for cash and hold no cash value. Support may not enter players into tournaments as an exchange for Tournament Bucks.

24. If a regular, turbo/hyper, or rebuy and add on multi-table tournament is in late registration and is cancelled, all players will receive their tournament buy-ins, rebuys, re-entries and fees back. It will be as if the tournament had never been played.

25. If a regular, turbo/hyper, or rebuy and add on multi-table tournament is cancelled while running but not yet in the money, players that have been eliminated from the tournament will not receive any compensation for the tournament. Players that are still alive in the tournament will receive their original buy-in back (but not any re-entries, rebuys or add-ons), and the remaining prize pool (all guarantees are honored) will be distributed on a percentage basis according to each player’s chip stack. For example, if there are 100,000 chips in play, the prize pool is $100,000. Each chip would be worth $1, so if you have 15,000 chips when the tournament is cancelled, you will receive $15,000 of the remaining prize pool. Note: The maximum payout cannot exceed the prize of winning first place.

26. If a regular, turbo/hyper, or rebuy and add on multi-table tournament is cancelled while players are in the money, players that have been eliminated from the tournament will not receive any compensation for the tournament. Players that were still competing in the tournament at the time of the cancellation will receive at minimum the next prize payout, and the remaining prize pool will be distributed on a percentage basis according to each player’s chip stack.

27. If a knockout, multi-table tournament is in late registration and is cancelled, all players that have been eliminated will receive their buy-in and fee but will not receive their bounty back. For example, if you are in a $10 KO tourney, $8 goes towards the prize pool and $2 goes towards your bounty with a $1 fee. Any player that has busted will receive the $8+$1, but they will have lost their $2 bounty. Players that remain in the tournament at the time of cancellation will receive the full amount that they have paid for the tournament: buy-in, bounty and fee. Any player that has been awarded the $2 for knocking out another player will keep this money.

28. If a knockout, multi-table tournament is cancelled while running but not yet in the money, players that have been eliminated from the tournament will not receive any compensation for the tournament. Players that are still alive in the tournament will receive all buy-ins and their own bounties back, and the remaining prize pool (all guarantees are honored) will be distributed on a percentage basis according to each player’s chip stack.

29. If a knockout, multi-table tournament is cancelled while players are in the money, players that have been eliminated from the tournament will not receive any compensation for the tournament. Players were still competing in the tournament at the time of cancellation will receive at minimum the next prize payout and their own bounty, and the remaining prize pool will be distributed on a percentage basis according to each player’s chip stack.

30. If a satellite tournament is in late registration and is cancelled, all players will receive their tournament buy-ins, rebuys, re-entries, and fees back. It will be as if the tournament had never been played.

31. If a satellite tournament has started running and has passed the Late Registration period when cancelled, the players that have been eliminated from the tournament will not receive any compensation for the tournament. The value of the seat will be converted into real money and will be divided evenly among all remaining players.

32. Sit & Go’s will be refunded in one of two ways if they are cancelled: 1) If all the original players in the SNG remain, (no players have busted out), all players will be equally refunded with their buy-in and fee. 2) If one or more players have busted out of the SNG, players will have the prize pool divided amongst players by chip count after receiving their buy-in and fees back. Note: The maximum payout cannot exceed the prize of winning first place.

33. Double or Nothing Sit & Go's will be refunded in two ways if they are cancelled: 1) If all the original players in the SNG remain, (no players have busted out), all players will be equally refunded with their buy-in and fee. 2) If one or more players have busted out of the SNG, players will have the prize pool divided amongst the remaining players evenly.

Should any dispute or situation arise not expressly covered by these rules, all decisions made by Bookmaker Poker management are final.
