  • BookMaker.eu We essentially know which six teams will make it to the LCS 2021 Mid-Season Showdown next week. The playoff picture is pretty cut and dry entering the final week of the 2021 LCS Spring Split. FlyQuest, Counter Logic Gaming, and Golden Guardians have all been eliminated from postseason contention, and Cloud9 is top of the table at 11-4. Dignitas, Team SoloMid, 100 Thieves, and Team Liquid aren’t far behind C9 and are essentially playoff locks, but Evil Geniuses and Immortals are fighting for that...

  • BookMaker.eu There is a clear delineation between the probable playoff teams and everyone else in the LCS two-thirds of the way through the 2021 LCS Spring Split. The top six teams are all over .500 with 7-5 the minimum record, while the bottom four teams are under .500. Immortals and FlyQuest still have vague playoff prospects, but the door is essentially closed on Counter Logic Gaming and Golden Guardians as both teams are 2-10....

  • BookMaker.eu It’s been an interesting start to the 2021 LCS season. Cloud9 is at the top of the table at the halfway point of the season like many expected, but the three-way tie for second place does not include Team Liquid. Although Liquid added Alphari and Santorin in the offseason, they have underwhelmed with a 5-4 record at this juncture. They might fall to .500 when they take on Team SoloMid this Friday too....

  • BookMaker.eu Team Liquid have not looked sharp through the first two weeks of the 2021 LCS Spring Split. The winners of the inaugural LCS Lock In Tournament are just 3-3 with losses to Immortals, Team SoloMid, and 100 Thieves. Liquid need to right the ship and soon given the Spring Split is just six weeks long in this format, but they will close out the week with a tough test against Cloud9 on Sunday. ...

  • BookMaker.eu After spending the first three weeks of the 2021 League of Legends season focusing on North America and the LCS Lock-In Tournament, let’s look halfway around the world at the league that has produced more world champions than all other regions combined. The LCK has produced six of the 10 League of Legends world champions. SK Telecom T1 (now T1) has won three titles, Samsung Galaxy (now Gen. G) has won two titles, and DAMWON Gaming (now DWG KIA) won last year’s championship. There is so much tale...

  • BookMaker.eu One LCS team will grab $150,000 for winning the Lock In Tournament this Sunday. The semifinals will be played on Friday and Saturday with Cloud9 taking on 100 Thieves this Friday and Team Liquid facing Evil Geniuses this Saturday in best-of-five series. The winners of those two series will meet in the finals on Sunday with the winner-take-all cash prize on the line. The chalk held up in the quarterfinals as all of the top ranked teams won their best-of-three series, but will that happen again?...

  • BookMaker.eu The LCS Lock In Tournament has already provided fans with a lot of intrigue. Counter Logic Gaming’s continued struggles have left them on the outside looking in for the knockout rounds, and every team aside from Evil Geniuses has at least one loss. Group A looks to be the stronger group with 100 Thieves rising to match Team Liquid and Team SoloMid, but Cloud9 and Evil Geniuses are going to be solid opponents in the knockout rounds of this event....

  • BookMaker.eu The LCS likes to experiment, and we will see a new format in the Spring Split. Before the start of the official regular season, there will be a Lock In tournament that lasts two weeks. The ten teams were split into groups of five, and they will battle it out for a winner take all prize of $150,000. The top four teams in each group advance to the knockout rounds where we will see a single elimination knockout bracket....

  • BookMaker.eu China will be the first major region to return to action for the 2021 League of Legends season this weekend. The 2021 LPL Spring Split will get underway on Saturday, January 9 with 2020 Summer Split champion Top Esports taking on 2020 World Championship runner-up Suning Gaming. We will also see two other former champions face off on Sunday as 2020 Spring Split winner JD Gaming faces 2018 World Champion Invictus Gaming. ...

  • BookMaker.eu Reigning world champions DAMWON Gaming haven’t missed a beat since bringing glory back to South Korea on the international stage. They were one of the favorites coming into this tournament two weeks ago, and they have lived up to the expectations. DAMWON Gaming have only dropped one game during this event after going 4-0 in the Group Stage and beat Hanwha Life 3-1 in the semifinals. This powerhouse is expected to hammer Nongshim Red Force in the KeSPA Cup Finals, and that’s reflected in these Le...

  • BookMaker.eu The chalk has held up throughout this year’s Demacia Cup. Young Miracles were the only non-LPL team to knock off an LPL team, but that wasn’t enough to get them to the knockout rounds of the tournament. All eight teams that made it to the quarterfinals of this competition are in the LPL. We saw Top Esports hammer FunPlus Phoenix 3-0 and Vici Gaming sweep Worlds runner-up Suning Gaming 3-0 in the first two Quarterfinals matches on Thursday, and the bottom half of the Quarterfinal...

  • BookMaker.eu The sixth KeSPA Cup will take place from December 21, 2020 to January 2, 2021 in Seoul, South Korea. All ten LCK teams will participate, but unlike previous years, there will be no CK or amateur teams in this tournament. Unfortunately, that means we will miss out on seeing undiscovered raw talent, but this will be the first look we get as the top ten teams’ new rosters. No team has won this competition multiple times during its short history, but no team that has won Worlds has won the KeSPA Cup...

  • BookMaker.eu Korea has long been the home of the most talented League of Legends players in the world, and that led to a team from the region winning each World Championship from 2013 to 2017. However, LCK teams moved away from the academy scene in 2018, instead putting their faith in veterans rather than continuing to develop young players. That large-scale decision had tremendous ramifications. The LCK went from dominating the international stage to falling behind both China and Europe, leading to some sou...

  • BookMaker.eu One of the last StarCraft II tournaments of the year is going on in Seoul over the next 10 days. Sixteen of the top StarCraft II players in Korea are squaring off in a single-elimination tournament with $30,000 up for grabs. The Round of 16 was split into two halves and the top half of the Round of 16 was played on Wednesday. The bottom half of the Round of 16 will take place on Saturday, December 5. TY and Maru were the top two seeds as they were the finalists in the Global StarCraft League Sea...

  • BookMaker.eu The penultimate S-Tier CS:GO event of the year will kick off on Monday, November 30, when 16 European teams battle it out for the right to be crowned champion of DreamHack Winter Masters. Top teams like Heroic, Astralis, G2 Esports, and Complexity are all here, and that will give CS:GO fans plenty to cheer about during the holiday season.

  • BookMaker.eu The 2020 League of Legends NEST Tournament will wrap up with a flurry of action this weekend. The quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals will take place on subsequent days, and we will have a new champion since SinoDragon (Dominus Esports) was not part of this event. Only the top four teams will win prize money, so it’s important for each team to make it to the semifinals.

  • BookMaker.eu The first regional tournament to take place in the offseason will be China’s National Electronic Sports Tournament (NEST). This event is generally seen as a launching ground for up and coming talent, as many of the top players do not partake after the long grind of the regular season and playoffs. The LPL’s two best teams in 2020 (JD Gaming and Top Esports) used this event to get some of their best players experience in 2018, and those players helped carry those two teams to the finals of this e...

  • BookMaker.eu The global pandemic has meant no international majors during the 2020 season, but we have had plenty of top tier tournaments despite the lack of international travel. ESL Pro League season 12 wrapped up last month with Astralis emerging as the winner, and that has led to them being co-favorites coming into IEM XV Beijing Europe. ...

  • BookMaker.eu For the first time since 2017, a Korean team has a chance to lift the Summoners’ Cup. DAMWON Gaming was the best LCK team over the second half of the year. This team finally put it all together after showcasing their potential at last year’s World Championships, and now they can become just the third Korean organization to win at Worlds. Suning are the only team standing in their way, and they are out to become the third straight Chinese side to win Worlds....

  • BookMaker.eu We typically see one massive upset a year in international play. In 2018, G2 Esports shocked Royal Never Give Up in the League of Legends World Championship quarterfinals. At the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational, Team Liquid stunned world champions Invictus Gaming in the semifinals. Fnatic nearly pulled off the upset of the year against Top Esports last week. They were a massive underdog to the tournament favorites, but they won the first two games of their best-of-five series. Top Esports responded...

  • BookMaker.eu There were no surprises in the Group Stage of the 2020 League of Legends World Championship. All the favorites made it through to the knockout rounds unscathed, and none of those teams really had a scare. Teams from all of the minor regions and North America have been eliminated, leaving only sides from Europe, Korea, and China to duke it out for the Summoners’ Cup.

  • BookMaker.eu The chalk has ruled this year’s League of Legends World Championship. We generally see a decent amount of upsets throughout the first week of the main event, but there have only been a couple surprising results this time. Currently, all the favorites are in position to get through to the knockout rounds, and that’s certainly looking likely in Group B. DAMWON Gaming and JD Gaming were massive favorites to make it to the quarterfinals per the Esports betting odds, and they can both punch their tic...

  • BookMaker.eu The field for the 2020 League of Legends World Championship is set. LGD Gaming, Team Liquid, PSG Talon, and Unicorns of Love made it out of the Play-In Stage to be the last four teams in the main event, so now the biggest event in Esports is set to kick off in earnest. Over 100 million people from around the world tuned in to watch the League of Legends World Championship last year, and we could see even more watching the event live this time....

  • BookMaker.eu The League of Legends World Championships are finally upon us. Other major Esports international tournaments have been cancelled or postponed over the last six months, but Riot Games was able to make it work for the most popular Esports event in the world. Although we won’t have Vietnamese teams here due to travel restrictions, representatives from every other region are in Shanghai. We will see the last four teams qualify for the main draw this week as the Play-In Stage begins. ...

  • BookMaker.eu In just one week, the 2020 League of Legends World Championships will get underway. This is unquestionably the biggest event in Esports this year, as Dota 2 won’t be hosting The International, and teams from all over the world will be participating. Vietnam won’t be represented unfortunately due to visa restrictions, but the other heavy hitters will be in action.
