Will we see any craziness during the last week of the LEC Spring Split? The super week has been known to give us plenty of twists and turns, but there might not be much drama on Sunday. Team BDS and Astralis have both been eliminated from playoff contention, and MAD Lions and SK Gaming both need to win their final three games and have either Excel Esports or Team Vitality lose their final three games to make playoffs. That means all six playoff spots could be locked up on Friday, leaving only po... 

Time flies in the LEC Spring Split, and we are entering the penultimate week of the regular season. Rogue are comfortably in first place with an 11-2 record, and they have locked in a playoff berth. Fnatic and G2 Esports should make the playoffs too, but there’s a very good chance that either Team Vitality or MAD Lions miss the postseason entirely. That would be a massive disappointment for either team, and they are facing must-win games on Saturday.... 

Blink and you’ll miss it because we are over halfway through the LEC Spring Split now. The regular season only lasts eight weeks, and teams have just three weeks left to try and make the playoffs now. Rogue no longer looks like a juggernaut after dropping both its matches last week, while old guard teams Fnatic and G2 Esports are now just a game out of first place. The only team that has likely given up on the playoffs is Astralis, but they pulled off the biggest upset of the season last week wh... 

After a week off, the LCK will be back in action starting on Wednesday. We have yet to hear what patch they will be playing on, but new champion Zeri is expected to be enabled after it was disabled on Patch 12.2 two weeks ago.That can really help teams with strong bottom laners like DRX and maybe even last place Kwangdong Freecs.... 

The only unbeaten team left in the LEC after Week 3 is Rogue. They were superb in their wins over Fnatic and Team Vitality last week, showing that they are the team to beat in Europe. Now, they can enter the midway point of the season unbeaten with wins over Excel Esports and G2 Esports this weekend. ... 

We could see an early preview of the LEC Spring Split Finals on Friday when 5-0 Rogue takes on 5-0 Fnatic. These have been the top two teams in Europe through the first two weeks of the season by a long shot. Rogue has been a little more impressive than Fnatic statistically, but Fnatic are the favorites in their showdown as they have a better roster on paper.

There was a major surprise at the end of the first week of the LEC Spring Split. New superteam Team Vitality was one of the favorites to win the league ahead of the new season, but they went 0-3 in Week 1. They lost to MAD Lions, Fnatic, and Excel Esports, and while the first two losses are somewhat understandable, the third loss is a big red flag. Vitality is in need of a win this week against Team BDS.... 

As we have seen the last couple years, the first week of the LEC Spring Split will start off with a jam-packed weekend. Most weeks will only see games played on Friday and Saturday, but there are matches on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday this week. The most exciting day figures to be Saturday as LEC betting favorites Fnatic and Team Vitality will square off in the Match of the Week to close out the day.... 

After two months without competitive League of Legends in the major regions, we will see the Spring Split start up across the world over the next two weeks. Due to the LPL’s popularity and the league having 17 teams, it will start a few days before the rest of the regions. The first couple days of the first week will see two highly anticipated matchups as Royal Never Give Up will face FunPlus Phoenix and EDward Gaming will take on JD Gaming.... 

These are strange times in the LPL. Two of the traditional powers are among the favorites to win the 2022 LPL Spring Split with Royal Never Give Up and Edward Gaming as co-favorites alongside LNG Esports. Recent powerhouse Top Esports is right behind that trio of teams, but China’s two world champions are considered longshots. FunPlus Phoenix and Invictus Gaming completely retooled this offseason and cut a lot of salary. That has the oddsmakers pegging those two teams to finish ... 

The oddsmakers only like three teams going into the 2022 LCK Spring Split. The top three Korean teams in 2021 are the overwhelming favorites heading into the start of the season in January, while the other seven LCK teams are 16-1 or more. That means there is significant value if you can pick the right underdog to back.

For the second straight year, we will have the LCS Lock In before the regular season gets underway. Team Liquid beat Cloud9 in the final of this event last year, and those two teams are the favorites to take home the title this year. However, the team to bet on is 100 Thieves as the reigning LCS champions have continuity from last year’s roster, while many of their toughest competitors will be breaking in new rosters.... 

It’s clear that there are two juggernauts in the VCS, and then there is everyone else. Cerberus Esports are currently 10-0 and looking like the team to beat in Vietnam. GAM Esports are the historic frontrunners in this region, and they have won eight straight matches after an 0-2 start. These two teams appear destined to clash in the VCS Winter Finals, but can anyone stop them? ... 

Every other League of Legends league in the world has stopped for the winter. The League of Legends World Championship was played last month, and the offseason has been a whirlwind. However, the VCS is going strong after their Summer Season was cancelled due to COVID, and no Vietnamese teams were allowed to participate at Worlds in Iceland. That has made their matches even more interesting than usual, especially to Western viewers.... 

This has been one of the busiest offseasons in League of Legends history. There have been a ton of movements, and even the best players in Europe and other regions have changed teams. That has led to a changing of the guard, and Team Vitality comes into the 2022 season as the favorites despite being a middle of the pack team for the last few years. Storied teams like Fnatic and G2 Esports are further down the list, as they have lost some of their stars.... 

We’re in a new era of CS:GO. Astralis’ super team was broken up in April when Ninjas in Pyjamas signed dev1ce, and they have since benched Dupreeh, Magisk, and Zonic. They will be going forward with three newcomers for the foreseeable future, meaning they no longer are the team to beat in majors. Instead, Gambit Esports and Team Vitality are seen as the two best teams in CS:GO, and they will look to grab the $100,000 first prize at IEM Season XVI Winter.... 

Fresh off seeing an LPL team win the League of Legends World Championship in Iceland last weekend, Chinese Esports fans have more reason to celebrate. The National Electronic Sports Tournament started on Thursday, and it brings together some of the best teams in China for the country’s most popular Esports. Every LPL team except Royal Never Give Up and Top Esports will take part in this year’s tournament. ... 

Korean dominance continues to be the main storyline of the 2021 League of Legends World Championship. Three LCK teams are in the semifinals of this year’s Worlds, and all three of those teams swept their opponents in the quarterfinals. Gen. G had little trouble with Cloud9 over three games, DWG KIA smashed MAD Lions in the quickest quarterfinals ever, and T1 dismantled fellow LCK side Hanwha Life Esports thanks to some mystifying draft decisions from the latter. That has Korea primed to win its ... 

All four Korean teams have advanced to the knockout rounds out of the Group Stage. That continues an incredible success rate for the LCK, as just one Korean team has failed to advance to the quarterfinals in the history of the League of Legends World Championship. There have been some close calls over the years, but it's impossible to question Korea's historic supremacy on the international stage.... 

The first round robin of the League of Legends World Championship is over. Western teams have done poorly with European teams and North American teams each going 2-7, and none of those six teams are currently positioned to advance to the knockout stages. Meanwhile, Chinese and Korean teams are in position to take seven of the eight spots in the quarterfinals, potentially leading to Worlds becoming very regional next week.... 

This is the best time of year to be an Esports fan. The League of Legends World Championship is underway in Iceland, and the 2021 Dota 2 The International will start this week in Romania. The International has long been the richest event in Esports, and the 10th iteration of this tournament will be the most lucrative one yet. There is already a prize pool of more than $40 million, and it could surpass $50 million by the time of the final.... 

After more than a month of waiting, the 2021 League of Legends World Championship is finally set to start. Although Vietnam will not be represented due to COVID restrictions, the qualified teams from every other region are now in Iceland and getting ready for the biggest event in Esports. There have been a few hiccups though as some teams have not been able to bring over all their players, and multiple teams have complained of spotty connections in their locations.... 

We have yet to see the odds really change after the Group Stage draw for the League of Legends World Championship on September 22. FunPlus Phoenix is still the overall favorite despite being placed in a group with defending world champion DWG KIA, and the odds haven’t shifted for any of the teams in the Group of Life (Group D) either. That will likely change in the next couple weeks, but there is currently value on the board.... 

The two teams in the 2021 EU Masters Finals have very different backstories. Karmine Corp is the team that everyone expected to be here. The French juggernauts won the Spring Masters and were seen as the tournament favorite this time too. They won Group D with a 5-1 record before sweeping UCAM Esports Club in the quarterfinals and holding on to beat BIG in five games in the semifinals.Meanwhile, Fnatic Rising lost its regional final and needed to play its way into the Group Stage.
