LEC Europe Summer Split Week 2 Odds - Esports Lines

The two most storied teams in European League of Legends are the only two teams that are undefeated through the first week of the Summer Split. G2 Esports and Fnatic are both 2-0, and they were both dominant in the first week. G2 smashed Origen and Splyce in their first two matches, while Fnatic knocked off SK Gaming and Misfits. These teams are favored in both of their matches this week, and they will look to move to 4-0.

2019 LEC Europe Summer Split Betting Odds

Splyce -350

Excel Esports +261

Excel figured to be one of the worst teams in the Summer Split, and they looked like it in the first week of play. No player on the team finished with a KDA over 1, and the decision to add Hjarnan did not seem to be a great one. He didn’t get to play his unique Heimerdinger in either game, so he finished with a 0.7 KDA.

Meanwhile, Splyce did not look great against G2, but you can’t fault them for that considering how great G2 has been this season. They bounced back with a win over Vitality, and top laner Vizicsacsi looked surprisingly sharp in that game.

G2 Esports -650

Team Vitality +431

The numbers are starting to get ludicrous when it comes to G2. They won the Mid-Season Invitational and established themselves as the top team in the world last month, so they are hefty favorites in every game. Usually I would shy away from laying this much chalk, but I think Vitality are very overvalued.

Vitality look like a frustrated team. Their bootcamp in China didn’t seem to pay dividends in the first week, and it looks like mid lane Jiizuke is incredibly frustrated. He keeps dying in terrible spots, and he finished the first week with a 0.3 KDA. Caps should be able to take advantage of that to crush him in lane.

SK Gaming -150

Rogue +120

SK are a better team than they showed in the first week. Selfmade is still one of the top junglers in the region, and the bottom lane continues to develop. Crownshot looked great on Ezreal in an upset win over Schalke, so I’d be surprised if SK were dunked on in the bottom lane.

Their big issue going forward is top laner Sacre. Sacre came to SK with plenty of fanfare, but he was far too aggressive in the first week. He needs to play more reserved and work better with his teammates for SK to take the next step.

Origen -285

Misfits Gaming +218

Origen continue to impress. Patrik is quickly becoming one of the most fearsome AD Carries in the region, and he nearly led his team to an upset win over G2 last week. He didn’t have a great match-up against Perkz considering he was taking Ezreal into Xayah, but he impressed nonetheless.

That being said, I like Misfits at this price. They have a great playmaking support in Gorilla, and I think Febiven can hold off Nukeduck in the mid lane with a safe pick. As long as they survive the early game, they have a decent chance here.

Fnatic -205

FC Schalke 04 +161

I’m not as sold on Fnatic as others seem to be, but I like them at these odds. They are playing more towards their strengths than they did for a good part of the Spring Split, and Broxah has been an excellent playmaker in the jungle. Odoamne won’t be able to expose Bwipo like other top laners can in this region, and Fnatic will be able to rely on Rekkles in the mid and late game.
