League of Legends NA LCS Spring Split 2019

The top three spots in the NA LCS appear set with just two weeks left in the regular season. Team Liquid will almost certainly finish first in the region at 13-1 after sweeping Cloud9 last weekend. C9 are two games behind them and look set to grab the other first-round bye with an 11-3 record and a sweep of their own over Team SoloMid. As for TSM, they are likely stuck in third at 9-5, but in 2018, they would have loved to be in that position after underwhelming all year. FlyQuest are alone in fourth at 7-7, but every other team in the region is below .500, and that means the final two weeks will be insane.

League of Legends NA LCS Spring Split 2019 Week 8 Betting Odds

OpTic Gaming -175

Counter Logic Gaming +150

The Green Wall have made me look rather silly lately. OpTic have won four of their last six games, with their only two losses coming against TSM and Liquid. They have played themselves into playoff contention, and Crown gave us a throwback performance last week with a 9-0-0 Corki game.

I think there is a decent chance for CLG to pull off the upset here though. CLG have a mid laner that can potentially outplay Crown, and I like their lane match-ups. They have lost six of their last seven and have had some disappointing performances, but I’m just not sold on OpTic’s talent around Crown.

FlyQuest -190

100 Thieves +160

What a role reversal this season has been for these two teams. FlyQuest were seen as a bottom tier team, while 100 Thieves had the second-best odds to win North America at the start of the season. The Thieves’ playoff hopes are on life support now at 4-10, and they desperately need a win or else they are likely to miss out.

Their decision to bench Huhi for Soligo didn’t change matters, as the team went 0-2 and Soligo looked unimpressive last week, and this team looks ready to pack it in. I think FlyQuest win inside of 30 minutes here.

Team SoloMid -245

Golden Guardians +200

It took time for the Golden Guardians to come together, but now most people are slotting them into the playoffs. They have already played Liquid twice and C9 twice, and they will only have mid-table teams left after this game. Golden Guardians’ mid laner Froggen has had some nice play in recent weeks, yet it won’t be enough to get past TSM. TSM are too strong right now and should be a bigger favorite.

Team Liquid -670

Clutch Gaming +470

Now we’re talking. Liquid lines are finally starting to get chalky. They have been the best team in the region all year, and even though they have looked vulnerable at times, they have continually gotten the job done. Liquid still have something to play for here, and they won’t change things up until they assure themselves of the No. 1 seed in the NA LCS. Clutch are worse at every position and it will show.

Echo Fox +385

Cloud9 -515

If you’ve been reading this for a while, you know how hard I have pushed C9 all year. Even though they have some unconventional drafts and their laners outside of Licorice aren’t top tier, they have great synergy and know when to turn it on. They are finally getting the respect they have deserved all split with this line. This is the first time I’ve had to give thought about laying the chalk with C9, but it’s still the right play. Just don’t go as heavy on it as in previous weeks.
