Well…G2 won’t be finishing the regular season undefeated. After finishing up the first round robin undefeated and smashing most of their foes along the way, G2 were smashed themselves by Origen last week. Their Sylas pick fell flat and the bottom lane couldn’t muster a single kill in the defeat, leaving them with some adversity going into a break for the first time all season. They will look to get back to their winning ways, but they face a tough test from second place Schalke.

This will be the match of the weekend. The first time these teams met it was all G2. G2’s bottom lane smashed Schalke’s bottom lane in a surprising development. The one edge Schalke was supposed to have was in the bottom lane, and to see Upset go 0-4-1 on Ezreal in a meta where he is the best AD Carry was very surprising.
I don’t like Schalke’s chances even though I think Upset will play much better this time around. G2 has a big advantage in the mid lane with Caps versus Abbedagge, and Jankos has been incredible in the jungle too. Look for G2 to win inside of 30 minutes yet again.

It was nice to see Rogue finally get a win last weekend. The addition of former Schalke support Vander seemed to make a big difference, and HeaQ fared better than he had in the past with Wadid in that role. Kikis finally looked more reserved in his jungle role too, and it was nice to see him not get caught out of position like he had in the past.
Excel are at the bottom of the table with Rogue. They have had the same mid and late game mistakes that have plagued their opponents, but I have liked their early game more so I will give them the edge here.
Team Vitality -185

Vitality are a team that can hang with anyone in the LEC. They have a very skilled mid laner in Jiizuke, an aggressive jungler in Mowgli, a solid bottom lane, and a good top laner in Cabochard. They have been one of the most aggressive teams in the league since joining, and their style suits them well in this meta.
Meanwhile, Splyce are anything but aggressive in the early game. They stall teams out and end up playing way too many coin flip games, so it’s hard to have faith in them. Their average game time is nearly 40 minutes per Games of Legends, and that’s an absurd number. I don’t like the way that either Humanoid or Vizicsacsi are playing, and I think Vitality will be able to win through the mid lane or the top lane.

Misfits Gaming -115
Once again, it’s all falling apart for Misfits. They were supposed to be one of the top three teams in Europe at the start of the season, yet they find themselves at 4-6. They have lost to the two worst teams in the league, and it doesn’t look like they are on the same page. In particular, Soaz’s play in the top lane has left something to be desired.
SK’s bottom lane has continued to get better, and they have now won three in a row. Selfmade has put in some work in the jungle, and he does a very good job of getting his lanes ahead. He has 16.9 percent of his team’s damage, and he should be winning all-LEC honors.

Origen -195
I’ve been stressing to go against Fnatic for most of the split, but now I’m going to back them. Origen are somewhat overrated after their win over G2, and we all know that Nukeduck runs hot and cold. He can look incredible on a champion one week and have an incredibly poor performance the next, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see it happen here. Fnatic showed enough signs of life last week to have me liking their chances this time around.
