It’s going to be a wild last two weeks in the LEC. No one has clinched a playoff spot yet, although MAD Lions and Rogue are close, but every team has at least a chance of making the Summer Split Playoffs after FC Schalke 04’s surprising 2-0 in Week 6. There are seven teams between 7-6 and 5-8 in the standings, including preseason favorites G2 Esports, Fnatic, and Origen, so all games over the last two weeks of the regular season have monumental importance.
League of Legends 2020 LEC Summer Split Week 7 Betting Odds
SK Gaming -125
Misfits Gaming -110
At this point, you can make a case that Misfits are the worst team in the league. They have lost four straight games after a decent start to the season that included victories over Origen and MAD Lions. Kobbe is performing well in the bottom lane, but Doss has really struggled alongside him in support and Febiven has been too reliant on Azir in the mid lane. For Misfits to win this game, Dan Dan may have to take over in the top lane.
SK knocked off Misfits back in Week 2,and they are deserved favorites despite being seen as the weaker team entering the Summer Split. Jenax’s move into the top lane has worked out better than anyone expected, and Crownshot has been surprisingly strong in the bottom lane. The only real issue has been Trick, so as long as he isn’t a detriment, look for them to get the win.
Excel Esports -155
FC Schalke 04 +115
We can’t hear the infectious “Excel Esports La La La La La” chant, but this organization might be ready to make its first postseason appearance after just missing out on the playoffs in the Spring Split. Kryze and Special led them to a victory over SK Gaming last weekend, while Patrik and Tore carried the day against Team Vitality. Excel have already played MAD Lions and Rogue twice, so they have a great chance to finally post a winning record.
Schalke were the most impressive team in Week 6. They pulled off their second big upset of the Summer Split with their victory over G2 Esports, paying off huge for anyone that bet on them per the League of Legends betting odds. Abbedagge put together his strongest performance of the season, but this team is likely to fall back down to Earth on Friday.
MAD Lions -230
Origen +165
A loss here would be tough for Origen since they are currently on the outside looking in at the playoffs, but their next three games are against Schalke, SK Gaming, and Excel Esports. Upset’s support woes have continued as Jactroll has not been the answer for Destiny in that position, but the top tier bottom laner still has an 8.8 KDA this split.
The Lions overcame a 2k gold deficit to pick up the win over Origen in their last meeting as Humanoid was superb on Orianna, nearly earning a Flame Horizon against Nukeduck. However, there was a lot to like from Origen in that loss, so they are a solid play here as an underdog.
G2 Esports -280
Team Vitality +195
No team has been more unpredictable than G2 this split. The winners of the last three LEC titles have been a huge disappointment with a record of 6-7, but they have victories over both Rogue and MAD Lions. G2 fell to Vitality in Week 1 as Cabochard, Milica, and Comp all had at least 13 combined kills and assists without a death, but Caps has looked much better in the mid lane.
Milica will be the key to Vitality pulling off the upset. He has the best KDA on the team and is dealing 30.5 percent of his team’s damage per Games of Legends.
Fnatic -125
Rogue -110
Rogue were in complete control of their game against G2 last week, taking a 5k gold lead while getting Hans sama fed on Aphelios. However, they fell apart in the mid game, as Larssen and Finn both disappointed with early deaths in team fights to turn the tide. Now, they must shake off that bad performance against resurgent Fnatic.
Fnatic have won three of their last four games, but they did lose to Rogue in their last meeting. Nemesis and Bwipo have both looked much better in recent weeks though, so Fnatic is the choice.
