The big news in the LEC is the complete collapse of G2 Esports. G2 have dominated European League of Legends since the start of the 2019 season, winning the last three domestic titles, but they are struggling in a big way. The Kings of Europe have dropped three consecutive matches, and they are now just barely holding onto a playoff spot at 5-6 entering Week 6 of the Summer Split. They are a heavy favorite per the League of Legends betting odds against 1-10 Schalke, but a loss in that match would lead to this organization pressing the panic button.

Excel Esports +115
Crownshot is a big reason why SK Gaming are currently in position to make the playoffs. He has really come into his own in the bottom lane, and his play on Aphelios has been something else. Per Games of Legends, Crownshot has a 16.5 KDA in four games on the champion in the Summer Split, so Excel would be wise to ban the carry away from him.
Excel are led by a bottom laner of their own in Patrik. Patrik is dishing out 75.4 percent of Excel’s damage thus far this split, and he has done it with more varied champions. He has showcased KogMaw already, and that might give Excel an edge as the champion is expected to be prominently featured on this patch. Provided they keep Crownshot off of Aphelios, Excel have a decent chance of winning on Friday.
Origen -233
Team Vitality +176
The week off may have helped Origen more than any other team. Origen looked strong in Week 5 with convincing wins over G2 and Misfits Gaming, as Alphari was excellent in the top lane and Xerxe was making plays out of the jungle. If they show that same sharpness against Vitality in this match, it will be hard for the underdog to pull off the upset.
We saw some of Vitality’s limits last week. They played Skeanz in the jungle over Nji, but the main problem is they have trouble winning games if Milica isn’t allowed to scale and take over late in the game. Comp was out of his mind good the last time these teams met, but that’s very unlikely to happen again given Upset’s form.

FC Schalke 04 +448
A G2 loss here would be absolutely stunning. Schalke are the worst team in the LEC by a wide margin, and they don’t have an advantage in any lane. It’s been hard to point to a positive for Schalke other than Gilius, but they are unlikely to get the better of G2 at any position.

Rogue -179
This is a great price for Rogue as the oddsmakers are still skeptical about this team for whatever reason. Rogue have looked superb with the play of Inspired and Larssen, and Finn is dishing out some heavy damage in the top lane.
There are concerns about Febiven’s champion pool for Misfits as he has now played Azir in six of 11 matches, and Doss has really struggled in support. His performances have kept Kobbe from being truly unleashed, so the favorite is the better bet here. Misfits only picked up two kills and a tower off Rogue in their earlier meeting.

MAD Lions -182
The MAD Lions have arrived. This organization showed its potential with its upset of G2 in the Spring Split Playoffs, and it’s clear that they are one of Europe’s elite teams after dismantling the reigning champions once again last week. Shadow’s Lee Sin continues to be exceptional, while Orome has showed off his versatility in the top lane. That latter factor can really help them against Fnatic this week.
Fnatic went 2-0 for the first time since Week 1 last week. Nemesis bounced back after some dismal performances, while Selfmade and Rekkles continued to play well. The coinflip play of Bwipo and Hylissang doesn’t bode well for this team here though.
