There is a logjam behind undefeated Cloud9 in the LCS. Five teams are tied for second place at 4-2, but that mess is sure to be sorted out somewhat with the results of this week’s matches. We’ll see whether or not teams like Counter Logic Gaming are for real in Week 4, and the four teams at the bottom will look to make a move upwards in the standings.
League of Legends 2020 LCS Summer Split Week 4 Betting Odds
Team SoloMid -199
Golden Guardians +147
TSM had their first 2-0 week of the Summer Split in Week 3, but it wasn’t easy. They weren’t sharp against 100 Thieves and were rather lucky to pick up that win, yet they did hammer Evil Geniuses in their other game of the week.
Bjergsen and Doublelift continue to carry this team. They have combined to do 60 percent of TSM’s damage per Games of Legends, and Bjergsen has a new pocket pick to take into the mid lane in Fiddlesticks. He should get the better of Damonte early on, and it would be a surprise if Doublelift didn’t win his lane. That makes TSM the play despite being a sizable favorite.
100 Thieves -199
Dignitas +147
After another disappointing week, 100 Thieves wasted no time announcing changes to the starting lineup on Monday. General manager Papasmithy announced that the team was moving on from jungler Meteos and support Stunt, and they were being replaced by Contractz and Poome. Contractz is an experienced jungler that shouldn’t have any problems filling in, but Poome is a very raw rookie. His rise through the organization has been meteoric, but he will be taking a big step up this weekend.
Dignitas made a change last week, but to no avail. V1per was replaced in the top lane by Lourlo, but the team was still unable to pick up their first victory of the season. Lourlo posted an absurdly low kill percentage of 27.8 percent, but the struggles are across the board with this roster. Their main hope is for Froggen to beat Ryoma in the mid lane, yet whoever is in the top lane will have a hard time with Ssumday.
Evil Geniuses -160
FlyQuest +120
This line is interesting considering FlyQuest bested Evil Geniuses in the Spring Split Semifinals 3-1 a couple months ago. FlyQuest benched WildTurtle in favor of Mash in Week 2, and he has played very well since coming into the lineup for the veteran. He has an 8.0 KDA, and his Aphelios play has been excellent.
He will face a former world champion in the bottom lane in Bang. The former SK Telecom T1 standout was superb in the Spring Split, but he has been away from a lot of the action thus far in summer. It’s rare to see an AD Carry with a kill percentage under 60 percent, and his 46.1 percent KP is unheard of at the position.
Team Liquid -413
Immortals +277
Immortals finally picked up a victory as they subbed out their entire starting lineup and replaced them with their academy team last week. The Apollo and Hakuho bottom lane was sharp, but the real story was Insanity in the mid lane. He posted an 11 KDA and was superb on Orianna in the win over Golden Guardians.
That team will have a tough time getting past a surging Liquid on Saturday. Liquid’s only two losses this season have been to Cloud9 and Evil Geniuses, and we have seen much better play than we saw in the spring from the four-time champions. Jensen has been exceptional on Twisted Fate in the mid lane, so don’t be surprised if he rides with TF once more.
