League of Legends 2020 LCS Summer Split Week 3 Preview

League of Legends 2020 LCS Summer Split Week 3 Preview

Everyone else is playing for second place in the LCS. Cloud9 is easily the best team once again through the first four games of the Summer Split. They are the only undefeated team with a 4-0 record, and their gold differential per minute of +482 is off the charts. C9 won’t play on Saturday though, giving other teams the opportunity to enjoy the spotlight.

League of Legends 2020 LCS Summer Split Week 3 Betting Odds

100 Thieves -163

Counter Logic Gaming +130

It’s been a rough start to the season for the Thieves, who are 1-3 coming into Week 3. However, their three losses came against the three best teams in the LCS in C9, Evil Geniuses, and Team Liquid, so they are favorites per the League of Legends betting odds head of their tilt with 3-1 Counter Logic Gaming.

Ssumday has been superb for 100 Thieves this season with a 6.3 KDA, and he was lights out on Renekton in their lone win. He has an advantage over Ruin in the top lane, but he will have to come up with a strategy to counter Volibear. Cody Sun has an edge on Stixxay in the bottom lane too, but Pobelter’s play on Twisted Fate gives CLG some hope.

Evil Geniuses -199

Team SoloMid +147

True to expectations, it’s been the Bjergsen and Doublelift show for TSM. The two famed players are both responsible for over 30 percent of their team’s damage per Games of Legends, but the struggles in the top lane and jungle continue to set this team back. Broken Blade still has a kill percentage under 40 percent, while Spica has not played well in the jungle.

TSM will be facing somewhat of a mirror image when they take on Evil Geniuses. The Geniuses have had great play in the mid lane and bottom lane, but Kumo and Svenskeren have been shaky in the top lane and jungle. Additionally, we have only seen Bang play Aphelios this split, so TSM are worth a play at these odds.

Team Liquid -481

Dignitas +312

Liquid are back to their former selves after a dismal Spring Split. Broxah is making a difference in the jungle, and Jensen has an absurd 13.5 KDA in the mid lane for this team. Of course, the real standout has been Tactical, as he has outperformed all expectations since replacing Doublelift in the bottom lane. Tactical boasts a 17.5 KDA and is dealing an absurd 40.4 percent of his team’s damage through four games.

This might be a real difficult split for Dignitas. They are one of the two teams that has yet to win a game, and none of their players have a KDA over two. Froggen has performed well in the mid lane, and the bottom lane hasn’t been terrible, but V1per has had a very difficult time filling Huni’s shoes in the top lane.

Golden Guardians -199

Immortals +147

After an 0-4 start, Immortals have decided to completely change things up. They fired their general manager and coach earlier this week, and they are expected to make changes to their starting lineup for this week’s matches. Xmithie is likely to replace Potluck in the jungle, even though Potluck has been the best performing player on the team, while Apollo and Hakuho should come in for Altec and Gate in the bottom lane. Altec is having the worst season we’ve seen from an AD Carry in quite some time.

Golden Guardians’ lone victory this season came against the other winless team in the LCS, but they haven’t played poorly. Damonte has been solid in the mid lane, and FBI has performed better than expected in the bottom lane. Lay the chalk here.
