Esports Odds - LOL LEC Europe Spring 2019 Week 2

Coming into the season, the three favorites to win the first LEC Spring Split were Fnatic, G2 Esports, and Misfits. While two of the three took care of business and are tied in first place at 2-0 after the first week of play, Fnatic struggled mightily in losses to SK Gaming and Origen. That has last year’s two-time champions stunned and searching for answers entering the second week of play. They are looking to get into the win column, but they face a tough test in Team Vitality in Friday’s most anticipated game.

League of Legends LEC Europe Spring 2019 Week 2 Betting Odds

Fnatic -115

Team Vitality -105

If you would have told me that Fnatic would be 0-2 after Week 1, I would have said that new mid laner Nemesis was the reason why. Nemesis was the one new member on the team, replacing former mid laner Caps, but he was not at fault for the loss to SK. He played very well on Akali, and he couldn’t have been prepared for a mid-lane Vayne from Origen’s Nukeduck.

Instead, the problem was largely with the veterans. The bottom lane of Rekkles and Hylissang came up short in both matches, and Rekkles may no longer be able to steamroll lanes or lead epic comebacks like he did in the past.

That’s why I’ll go with Vitality here. I think Jiizuke will be able to outplay Nemesis in the mid lane, and it wouldn’t surprise me to see Attila and jactroll get the better of things in the bottom lane.

Splyce -200

Rogue +165

Rogue had the roughest first week of any team in Europe. They got smacked in both of their games, picking up just six kills and one tower in the two games. Vision has been a major problem, as opposing junglers are wreaking havoc on their lanes and getting out to big leads.

Splyce has one of the top junglers in the region in Xerxe, and he should continue this trend. He has been very active with a kill participation rate of 79.5 percent according to tracking website Games of Legends. Look for Xerxe to get on an early game jungler and make his mark.

FC Schalke 04 -175

SK Gaming +145

SK showed a lot of resiliency in its game with Fnatic. They were well ahead of the defending champions when the game was re-made and fans howled that Fnatic should have been made to forfeit. It would have been easy for SK to get frustrated, but instead they locked in and got the better of Fnatic once again in a shot across the bow.

Their love of skirmishing has me thinking that this match should be pretty even, and the line should be more even. I’ll take SK Gaming at these odds in a game I see as a coin flip.

Misfits Gaming -185

Origen +150

Origen received a rude welcome back to the LEC with opening week matches against G2 and Fnatic, and now they must face the other top team in the region in Misfits. Nukeduck looked fantastic with a surprise pick of Vayne against Fnatic, but he completely fell flat on Cassiopeia against G2 and Origen were routed.

I have faith in him against Misfits’ Febiven. Misfits looked fantastic in wins over SK and Rogue in the first week, but many pegged those two teams to be the worst in the region. Nukeduck can jump on Febiven and lead Origen to a surprising win here.

G2 Esports -470

excel Esports +350

I tried to tell everyone that G2 should have been close to an odds-on favorite to win the region. G2 waxed both Origen and Schalke in their first week, as Perkz was fantastic in the bottom lane and Caps was nearly flawless in the mid lane. These are arguably the two most talented carries in the region, so when they can get ahead, the snowball should roll. Jankos’ Karthus has been great too, and they deserve to be this much of a favorite.
