2019 LEC Summer Split Week 3 Preview

The two most decorated organizations in Europe are the only two remaining undefeated teams in the LEC, and they will square off for supremacy this Friday. G2 Esports and Fnatic are both 4-0 and both teams have dominated their opponents. G2 has finished off matches in less than 28 minutes on average, while Fnatic leads the league with a 391 gold differential per minute according to Games of Legends. Those two teams rule the roost and everyone else is on the outside looking in.

2019 LEC Summer Split Week 3 Betting Odds

Origen -245
FC Schalke 04 +190

Origen are probably the third-best team in the LEC. Their two losses this split have come against Fnatic and G2, and they weren’t steamrolled by either squad. Patrik continues to impress as one of the top young AD Carries in the region, and that has given this team another win condition. Nukeduck is the star of this team though, and I expect him to lead the way against Schalke.

Schalke’s main win condition is the bottom lane, and Upset and Ignar have great KDAs so far this season. I believe they will be mitigated by Patrik and mithy though.

Misfits -152
SK Gaming +114

Has Misfits finally figured it out? Of the six teams in a logjam at 2-2, they have the best GDM by a mile. The bottom lane of Hans Sama and Gorilla have played very well together, and Febiven has been a solid mid laner. Kirei has taken over for Maxlore in the jungle, and if he can raise his game, this team should finish with a winning record.

Kirei will be tested by one of the top junglers in the LEC on Friday. Selfmade has fantastic instincts, and his aggressive roaming leads to advantages for his teammates. I think he will do enough to mitigate Selfmade’s impact, but I’m not as confident as other picks.

Splyce -215
Rogue +168

Rogue might be 2-2 this split, but they are still largely an unknown. They have three players we have not seen in the LEC prior to this summer, and their two wins came against the two winless teams in the league. Larssen has looked awfully impressive in the mid lane with a 6.5 KDA, and he did not die in either of Rogue’s two wins.

Their opponents are far more seasoned. Splyce are full of veterans, and I trust them more. Even though Vizicsacsi and Humanoid have really struggled, the rest of the team has been sharp.

Team Vitality -190
Excel Esports +150

I have no faith in Vitality. This looks like a team that has lost all its confidence. Only top laner Cabochard has a KDA over 1, and they look disjointed. Jiizuke is diving too much and trying to make things happen, and this team is constantly taking puzzling fights it can’t win. Excel aren’t great, but they play more like a team, so I love them at this price.

G2 Esports -235
Fnatic +183

Until they pull away from the pack, I’m going to back G2 no matter the price. There is no doubt in my mind that this team is miles better than any other squad in Europe, and their talent means they can win in a number of ways. G2 can constantly take fights and keep you on the defensive, as their individual skill is just too much for opponents. Although Fnatic have performed better, they are a clear tier below G2 and it will show here. Barring some cheese, I think G2 will win and secure the victory in less than 30 minutes.
