There have yet to be boxing betting odds released for this fight, but Harrison is expected to be a significant favorite. For those unfamiliar with betting on boxing, if Harrison were a -800 favorite, that would mean an $800 bet on Harrison would return a $100 profit if he were to emerge victorious. At that price, Perrella would likely be around a +500 underdog, and a $100 wager on him would return close to $500 if he were to get the win.

As the fight nears, there will be decision betting too. You will be able to bet on whether the fight is decided by KO, TKO, or decision, and you can bet on which boxer will win the fight in that fashion as well.

Tony Harrison vs Bryant Perrella Preview

Harrison had an unusual debut for a boxer. He is a native of Detroit, but his first fight was in Germany. Four of his first 11 fights were in Europe as he built a name for himself on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean with knockouts in each of his first eight bouts.

After winning three straight unanimous decisions, he went back to overwhelming opponents with his power. Harrison sent his next 10 opponents to the canvas within three rounds to run his record to 21-0 before he took on Willie Nelson in Tampa on July 2015. He received a taste of his own medicine with a ninth-round TKO loss, but he responded with three straight wins to set up a title fight with Jarrett Hurd.

Unfortunately for Harrison, he was unable to get past Hurd with the IBF super welterweight title on the line. He lost by ninth-round TKO, but it was only a matter of time before he would receive another opportunity. That came against Jermell Charlo in December 2018 when he secured a controversial unanimous decision win to claim the WBC super welterweight belt.

Most observers believed that Charlo had done enough to win the fight, so Charlo went over and immediately demanded a rematch after the loss. Harrison accepted and the two entered the ring once more a year later. Charlo registered an 11th round TKO this time around to leave no doubt, but there is likely to be a third fight at some point.

Perrella is moving up in weight to take on Harrison. He has been a welterweight for the last five years, but he has stated he feels more comfortable one class up. We did see him thrive at welterweight though, as he won his first 14 fights and gave David Grayton his first loss before losing to Yordenis Ugas in September 2016.

He picked up a win over Alex Martin in his next fight, but he lost a majority decision to Luis Collazo in August 2018. That defeat was followed by an impressive victory over Domonique Dolton in July 2019, and he squared off against Abel Ramos in his last bout. Perrella was ahead on the cards in the final round and only needed to survive three more minutes, but he was knocked down twice and the referee literally stopped the fight with one second left. It was a tough loss for Perrella, and another loss here would likely make this the last time he headlined a card.
