Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner Fight Preview

Manny Pacquiao is thrilled to be back in the United States in general and Las Vegas in particular.

“I have missed fighting in Las Vegas,” said Pac Man. “Returning to the MGM Grand Garden Arena to defend my world title against Adrien Broner is an exciting way to stage my homecoming. Adrien is a tough opponent with an accomplished record, But I have learned on thing while serving in the Philippine Congress and Senate, it is problem solving.”

Manny Pacquiao will be entering this championship fight against Adrien Broner with a bit of a career resurgence. Pac Man ended a long nine-year drought without a knockout by finishing off Lucas Matthysse last July for the title belt. The last time Pacquiao fought in the United States he outpointed Jessie Vargas in November of 2016 in Las Vegas.

Meanwhile Broner has been his usual brash self in bragging up his chances against the Pac Man. In an expletive filled rant Broner said he would beat Pacquiao’s (expletive deleted) ass.

“It’s going to be a hell of a fight,” said Broner. “I’m not coming to just pick up a check. I know when I win this fight there’s more money to come.

“I had to call my momma after I looked in the mirror this morning. I had to let her know she has a beautiful son. We finally made it to pay per view at 29. I’m the only African American to do that. This fight means a lot to me. A win and I turn legend overnight. I got the whole hood with me just like he has the whole Philippines with him. I don’t even know how to spell that. But I have the whole hood with me: H-O-O-D.”

Broner has had what should be a promising career put on hold due to perpetual legal problems and a lack of focus and dedication. Yet he has still managed to win world championships in four different weight classes which is indicative of his pure natural ability.

Broner has been poking the bear by deriding Pacquiao and his wide variety of interests and activities. He said Pac Man’s three best skills are “singing, promoting Hennessy and planking.” By planking Broner was referring to Pacquiao’s one punch knockout loss to Juan Manuel Marquez in 2012.

Boxing Betting Tips

Broner has lacked the attention to detail and full commitment necessary for a world champion. Pacquiao is a proven champion and has shown better preparation and recent form.
