Jeff Horn is a former World Boxing Organization welterweight champion that is just now coming off the only loss of his career. Terence Crawford took away Horn’s title belt in what had to be an incredibly painful moment for the Aussie. But instead of laying around and moping about spilt milk Horn has dedicated himself to stepping up in class. As a matter of fact, Horn is moving up two weight classes in preparation for his upcoming bout against Anthony Mundine. Mundine is a long-time veteran of the ring that has won world championships in three different weight classes. He will defend his World Boxing Organization Oriental Middleweight title belt against Horn.

Jeff Horn vs. Anthony Mundine Preview
The weeks leading up to this bout have had plenty of smack talk between Mundine and Horn. It has certainly added luster to the bout with tempers high and respect low.
Rather than talk about the difficulty of stepping up in class Horn has done nothing but talk up the challenge.
“It’s the one fight I’ve had that I haven’t had to worry about it,” said Horn. “I know I’ll make it easily…cruising.
“I can at least sneak a chocolate here and there and get away with it and he’s not going to be able to do that and is a bit upset about that.”
Horn has also commented on how much stronger he feels in changing weight classes.
“I can notice in training. I just feel stronger, have a bit more energy fighting at a heavier weight not worrying about the food going in,” said Horn. “Even though its not junk food, just putting in a lot of energy. We’ll see come fight time how big he feels to me in the sense of everything will determine whether I stay at this weight. It might open opportunities.”
Horn has not at all been shy about bragging about ending Mundine’s career in this fight. In fact, he has vowed to destroy Mundine and work his way back to a revenge rematch against Crawford.
“There is pressure because I am the favorite,” admitted Horn. “I will need to be convincing but he has had his time and now its my time to take over. I am surprised his career is still going but hopefully this will be his last fight.
“Mundine is an opponent who has been on the radar for quite a while but we have made him wait in the background for some time which I know has been frustrating for him,” taunted Horn. “Now is the right time.”
Mundine was accused by Horn of likely having to take short cuts to make weight. Horn’s camp went so far to imply that Mundine may even be forced to take banned substances to qualify.
“I am probably the most drug tested person in Australian sport, for real,” said Mundine. “I tell kids ‘don’t touch drugs.’ I don’t even like taking cold or flu tablets.”
It is in the fight contract that Mundine could be blood and urine tested up to five times before the bout to ensure he sheds weight properly.
Boxing Betting Tips
Horn is the much younger fighter with the more recent record of big-time boxing championship success. While expensive, he is the best choice.
