2014 Olympics Biathlon Betting Odds2014 Winter Olympics odds: The 2014 Winter Olympics are just about here! Before some of the best athletes on the planet get together to do battles for their country, we here at BookMaker Sportsbook are going to be looking at one of the best events to bet on the Olympics odds in Sochi, the Biathlon.

There aren't many events at the Winter Olympics which will be bigger tests on the Olympics betting odds than the biathlon. It is the only event in which there are two disciplines in the Winter Games, as there will be cross-country skiing and rifle shooting going on to make up the complete event.

Much like other events in the Olympics, there was qualification all over the world to determine who would ultimately compete on the Olympics gambling odds in the biathlon events from across the globe. However, whereas most facets of the Olympics get narrowed down to just a few of the best in the world from each country, there are a whopping 220 athletes which are going to be heading to Sochi in hopes of Olympic gold medals. There are a maximum of 113 men and 107 women which will take place in at least one of the biathlon events.

There are four countries which are going to be sending 12 to the biathlon this year, including France, Germany, Norway, and of course, the host nation of Russia. Ukraine is sending 11, while 10 countries are sending 10 different athletics, including the five men and five ladies representing the United States. There are 28 countries which qualified to send Olympians to Sochi through the Biathlon, and countries which you would never consider to have biathletes, including Latvia, Japan, Lithuania, Romania, Serbia, and South Korea, are all represented with at least one or two members of their teams.

The biathlon events will be held at the Laura Biathlon & Ski Complex, which is held in the Mountain Cluster at the Krasnaya Polyana in Sochi.

The first of the events is the Men's 10km Sprint, which will be held on Saturday, February 8th. The women take their shot at the 7.5km sprint the next day. On February 10th and 11th, the men and women go to their next sprinting event, the 12.5km for men and the 10km for women before a day off for the sport. The men's individual 20km and the women's individual 15km take place on Thursday the 13th and Friday the 14th respectively, while after another day off, the men take to the slopes on the 15km mass start, while the ladies have at the 12.5km mass start on the 16th and 17th. On the 19th, the Olympics wagering odds will be competed for the first time ever with a mixed relay with both men and women, an even which figures to be won by either the French or the Austrians, who seem to have the best fields in the bunch.

On the final two days of the biathlon, the men will compete in their 2x7.5km relay, while the women will finish on Saturday the 22nd with the women's 2x6km relay, more events which seem to favor the teams from the European Alps regions.
