The No. 3 player in the world, Roger Federer will return to Australia as the defending champion at this year’s Brisbane International presented by Suncorp at the Queensland Tennis Centre in Brisbane, Queensland. Considering his success last year, Federer could be favored in tennis betting.

Roger Federer defeated Milos Raonic 6–4, 6–7, 6–4 in last year’s final to win the 2014 Brisbane International presented by Suncorp. Federer was the runner-up in 2013, falling to Lleyton Hewitt in the final. The World No. 3 has won 88 titles including 17 grand slams in his career. His most recent victory came at the Swiss Indoor Basel where he defended his title and defeated Rafael Nadal in the final. Federer has also captured recent wins at the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 Cincinnati, Halle and Istanbul.

Other big names who have announced their attendance this year in Queensland include World No. 8 Kei Nishikori, former U.S. Open champion Marin Cilic and last year’s runner-up Milos Raonic. Nishikori picked up his latest win at the Citi Open in August, knocking off John Isner 4–6, 6–4, 6–4 in the championship match. That victory marked his third in 2015. The 25-year-old has won 10 titles since turning pro in 2007. Cilic has won 14 titles including the 2014 U.S. Open where he defeated Nishikori 6–3, 6–3, 6–3 in the final. Cilic defended his title at the Kremlin Cup by Bank of Moscow on October 25th with a win over Roberto Bautista Agut in the championship match. Raonic won his seventh title of his career at the St. Petersburg Open on September 27th, defeating Joao Sousa in three sets. The former ATP Newcomer of the Year also won the 2014 Citi Open. After last year’s loss in the final, the Canadian players would be look to make it back in the final again this year.

Other past champions at this tournament include Andy Murray who won back-to-back titles in 2012 and 2013 and World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, who captured a win here in 2007. Also committed to play at this year’s tournament are Gilles Simon, David Goffin, Bernard Tomic and 2013 runner-up Grigor Dimitrov.
