2014 Quaker State 400 Winner - Brad Keselowski cruises to victory

Sometimes the fastest car doesn't always win. Saturday, at Kentucky Speedway, it did.

Battling back from varying pit stop strategies, Brad Keselowski climbed six positions over the final 47 laps to pick up his second win of the season in dominating fashion in Saturday night's Quaker State 400 presented by Advance Auto Parts. By winning, Keselowski guarantees himself a berth into the Chase and also becomes the first two-time winner at the 1.5-mile speedway in three years.

2013 Quaker State 400 Winner - Matt Kenseth getting used to winning feeling

Matt Kenseth's two daughters - Kaylin, 3, and Grace, 2 - busied themselves picking up pieces of confetti in matching flower dresses as their father posed for pictures with his Quaker State 400 trophy in Kentucky Speedway's victory lane.

It was the girls' fourth such experience after a Sprint Cup Series race this season - the most trips to victory lane for their dad since 2006.

Kenseth, though, has made winning look easy. After leaving Roush Fenway Racing - where he won the 2003 championship and 24 races in 13 full-time seasons - for Joe Gibbs Racing in the offseason, there were questions as to how quickly Kenseth would adapt.

Kenseth is fifth in the points standings and a championship contender with more wins than anyone in the series. Once known as Mr. Consistent, Kenseth now is known more as a regular winner.

2012 Quaker State 400 Winner - Brad Keselowski rides back-up car to win in Quake State 400

Brad Keselowski backed right into this win. Keselowski, using a back-up car after wrecking his primary car in the opening minutes of Friday's first practice session, held off Kasey Kahne to win Saturday night's Quaker State 400 at Kentucky Speedway.

The win is Keselowski's third Sprint Cup Series victory of the season and for all intents and purposes secures him a spot in this year's championship Chase, at least as a wild card entry.

Denny Hamlin finished third, Dale Earnhardt Jr. was fourth and Jeff Gordon was fifth. Jimmie Johnson finished sixth as all four Hendrick Motorsports cars finished in the top six.

Kyle Busch, last year's race winner, got an early jump on the competition, leading 116 of the first 129 laps.

Three-time series champion Tony Stewart experienced problems early in the race and was taken out of contention when he had to go to the garage for repairs to his car's electrical system.

2011 Winner

Kyle Busch is the Quaker State 400 winner. By driving his No. 18 Toyota Camry he got the race victory at the inaugural Sprint Cup race in Kentucky Speedway on last Sunday. This is Busch's 22nd win in his Cup career and his 99th NASCAR series victory.
