2014 Fedex 400 Winner - Jimmie Johnson wins at Dover International Speedway

It was a typical Jimmie Johnson performance at Dover International Speedway as he dominated in winning the FedEx 400 Sunday.

Johnson led a race-high 272 of 400 laps and was never seriously challenged in winning for a second week in a row, and record ninth time in his career at the 1-mile track.

Brad Keselowski finished second, with Matt Kenseth in third. Clint Bowyer and Denny Hamlin, who overcame an earlier penalty for speeding on pit road, completed the top five finishers.

2013 Fedex 400 Winner - Black flag for jumping restart costs Jimmie Johnson Dover win

A controversial call by NASCAR cost Jimmie Johnson a potential win Sunday at Dover International Speedway.

With 19 laps remaining in the FedEx 400 following the day's final caution period, Johnson was second and lined up to the inside of leader Juan Pablo Montoya as two approached the start/finish line for the restart.

But as the green flag waved it appeared Montoya slowed giving the advantage to Johnson, who promptly drove away from the field seemingly on his way to his third victory of the year.

NASCAR, however, did not agree and after reviewing the sequence determined Johnson had jumped the restart and black-flagged him forcing to serve a pass-through penalty down pit road.

Johnson finished a lap down in 17th. He "totally disagreed" with the penalty, saying Montoya was slow heading to the restart zone to the point he thought something had happened to the No. 42 car.

2012 FedEx 400 Benefiting Autism Speaks Winner - Jimmie Johnson is on a roll, winning the Fed-Ex 400

Jimmie Johnson is victorious at the Monster Mile, after dominating by leading 289 of the 400 laps, and has won for the seventh time at Dover International Speedway on Sunday.

With 7 wins Johnson is now tied with Richard Petty and Bobby Allison for the most career victories on the one mile concrete track. An impressive average is Johnson's 7 wins in 21 starts at Dover making a 33% winning odds.

Johnson's victory makes the Hendrick Motorsports' winning streak to three points races. Johnson won at Darlington Raceway and Kasey Kahne won the Coca-Cola 600. Johnson also won the non-points All-Star race and his pit crew won the pit crew challenge the week prior to the Coca-Cola 600.

2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series: FedEx 400 at Dover - Race Results

Matt Kenseth gambled by taking 2 tires during a pit-stop with 35 laps to go, and held on to win the Sprint Cup “Fed Ex 400 to benefit Autism Speaks” Sunday afternoon in Dover.

Jimmie Johnson and Carl Edwards dominated most of the race by combining for 324 of 400 laps led. But Johnson and Edwards took four tires each on their last stops, which ended up costing both drivers an opportunity to win. The pit stops occurred during a caution period with less than 40 laps remaining.

Mark Martin did not pit and led the way for the final restart with 34 laps to go. Martin had been running in the 14th spot prior to the caution.

Kenseth moved around Martin for the lead shortly after the restart and then ran in front for the final 32 laps around the one-mile, concrete surfaced track. Kenseth finished 2.1 seconds ahead of Martin for his second Sprint Cup Series win at Dover. He won here in June 2006.

2010 Champion

The racer, Kyle Busch got his 2nd victory of the 2010 Nascar season at the Dover International Speedway.

This was Busch's 18th series career win, his second series win at Dover International Speedway, and he now is 69 points behind series leader, Kevin Harvick.

Mr. Busch took advantage of a Jimmie Johnson mistake to pull away for the win on Sunday, "We snookered him on that one," Busch told his crew as he streaked past the finish line. "He saw us coming, and he sped."

"I wouldn't say that we psyched Jimmie out. I mean, he's won four championships so he's pretty much been through all the head games in this world.
