2013 Virginia 529 College Savings 250 Winner - Brad Keselowski wins Nationwide race at Richmond

Through the first 133 races of his NASCAR Nationwide Series career, Brian Scott had led 38 laps.

Friday night he erased a career's worth of frustration but it still wasn't enough to earn his first series victory.

Brad Keselowski passed Scott with 10 of 250 laps remaining and held on for the win in the Virginia 529 College Savings 250 at Richmond International Raceway. The win is Keselowski's fifth this season – all in his past six starts.

Keselowski's win was not without some controversy, however. Scott and members of his complained Keselowski had jumped the start of the final two restarts of the race, the last time with six laps remaining.

2012 Virginia 529 College Savings 250 Winner - Harvick wins Virginia 529 College Savings 250

Kevin Harvick deserved a break. On Friday night, he finally got one.

Four times this season, Harvick has led the most laps in a Nationwide Series race, only to see someone else take the checkered flag. There wasn't a fifth.

Harvick, who led a race-high 141 laps, passed Kurt Busch to reclaim the lead just before the race's seventh caution on Lap 227 and held off Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Busch to claim the Virginia 529 College Savings 250 in front of about 60,000 at Richmond International Raceway. Former Chesterfield resident Denny Hamlin was fourth, and Michael Annett finished fifth.

It was Harvick's 38th victory in 288 Nationwide Series races, tying Carl Edwards for third in all-time series wins.

The win also was Harvick's first in the series since the 2010 fall race here, 30 starts ago.

2011 Virginia 529 College savings 250 Winner - Kyle Busch triumphs again at Richmond

Kyle Busch has made winning at Richmond International Raceway a habit as he charged to his fourth Nationwide Series victory on the .75-mile oval, winning the 31st annual Virginia 529 College Savings 250 on Friday evening.

The winner drove the Z-Line Toyota, which he took to victory for the eighth time in 19 races in 2011. He led 74 of the 250 laps in finishing .696 seconds ahead of nemesis Carl Edwards, who led 116 laps.

Busch was one of four race leaders, and he took over for the final time on 217th circuit to score the victory.
