2013 Kansas Lottery 300 Winner - Kenseth visits winner's circle at Kansas again

Joe Gibbs Racing driver Matt Kenseth took home the checkered flag from the Kansas Lottery 300 Nationwide Series race at Kansas Speedway on Saturday, ahead of Paul Menard, Regan Smith, JGR teammate Kyle Busch and Justin Allgaier. It was Kenseth's second Nationwide Series win of 2013 and his ninth overall NASCAR win this season.

While Kenseth was celebrating a win, Busch and rival Brad Keselowski were having a war of words after the two tangled on Lap 188, sending Keselowski first through the grass and then into the outside wall. Of course, both drivers had different views of the altercation.

2012 Kansas Lottery 300 Winner - Stenhouse steals sixth Nationwide win at Kansas

Kyle Busch's woes continued, Danica Patrick scored one of her best finishes of the year and Ricky Stenhouse rallied from two laps down to win and close Elliott Sadler's lead for the NASCAR Nationwide title Saturday at Kansas Speedway.

Kyle Busch ran out of fuel while leading less than a mile from winning his first Nationwide race for his own team.

"That's our year, man. Nothing else to it than that," said Busch, who led 29 laps. "What a frustrating defeat. Oh, well. You get defeated sometimes."

Busch's misfortune allowed Stenhouse to complete his rally from two laps down rally to score his sixth victory of the season.

Patrick finished 10th, earning her third top-10 of the season.

A late caution extended the race by six laps, and it stretched the fuel tanks of several cars at the front of the field.

Not Stenhouse, though. Because he ran into Joey Logano early into the race and had to make stops for repairs, he was on a different pit sequence and had plenty of gas to make it to the end. So he liked his chances when he lined up fifth on the final restart.

As the field prepared to take the green, Sam Hornish Jr. ran out of gas and NASCAR called off the start. It tacked on yet another lap, and that cost Paul Menard, who led a race-high 110 laps but ran out of gas as the field took the green.

2011 Kansas Loterry 300 Winner - Brad Keselowski emerged as the runaway winner

Brad Keselowski was in dominant form in the Nationwide Series Kansas Lottery 300 race on Saturday afternoon at Kansas Speedway, leading 173 of the 200 laps of the race on his way to his fourth win in the series in 2011.

The only time he faltered was when he stalled in pit lane during a mid-race stop and fell back to 14th place at the restart; it took him all of six laps before he was back in front.

Earlier in the day, Carl Edwards took pole position with a lap of 31.483s (171,521mph) ahead of Keselowski. Five cars failed to make the 43-car grid: Dennis Setzer, Tim Andrews, Danny O'Quinn Jr., Jennifer Jo Cobb and Mark Green.
